Hello everyone! I know I have not written a snippets article in a great while, and I would like to apologize for that. I have been swamped lately, especially with everything that has been going on this year, as this year of 2020 has been so awful to me, which I will share about that in one of the topics below. Here we are; I hope that all of you enjoy at least one subject in this snippets article, and as always, if you have any suggestions for a topic that you would like for me to talk about or share on, please feel free to contact me with a topic suggestion. I hope that all of you are doing great and as well enjoying whatever that we have left of the summer as we are approaching the fall quickly. While you all are enjoying what is left of summer, please do so safely, especially that we are still in the middle of the pandemic, and it does not look like it is going away or down enough to where it can be safe enough for us to be out doing things. In case if you are new here, so you know, you can click the “Show Topics List” below here, which that will show you all of the topics…

Nyle DiMarco And The Racist Fraternity Kappa Gamma

Someone has mailed me a few videos of Kappa Gamma fraternity, some personal and some public, that have a few well-known Deaf people in them, such as Nyle DiMarco. I have a video of two videos I have put together; they said that it’s from their spring 2011 march and their final 2011 march, with Nyle DiMarco participating as one of the members. I am posting this video because of a fiasco with Gallaudet University and its fraternity Kappa Gamma. Many people have put much evidence, stories, complaints, and whatnot out there on the internet, so this video should also be put in there with them so that people can be aware of this. So those people who are outsiders can get an idea of what Kappa Gamma looks like at Gallaudet University. Recently, Nyle DiMarco has dotted out his name for his comedy series show with the Spectrum Originals channel, owned by Charter Communications, under David Dae Kim’s production company 3AD and Melrose Place. I wonder if Charter Communications, David Dae Kim’s production company 3AD, and Melrose Place are even aware of what Nyle DiMarco did? Are they aware that Nyle DiMarco is a member of one of the most racist fraternities of any university, and even more, this fraternity happens to be one of Gallaudet University’s fraternities? What…

Hello all! I know I haven’t written a snippets article in a great while, I apologize for that and the COVID-19 pretty much have taken over the news so that was more important to make sure that everyone keeps focusing on getting the information on coronavirus aka COVID-19. I hope that every one of you is doing well, I am doing well myself and luckily we have not been exposed to COVID-19 yet (knocks on the wood). My heart and my thought go out to everyone who is affected by this dangerous pandemic which I know that many of us are struggling especially that we have suddenly changed our routine as it is going to be the new norm especially social distancing while wearing the mask at least until we get a vaccine for COVID-19 which they have said that it would be a long time until we would get it but that is if anyone can create one! 5-10-2020 Snippets Here we are, there are over 15 topics that I have written and I hope that at least one of the topics that could interest you to read! So, the Thanksgiving passed us by, Christmas passed us by as well and now the New Year just passed us by. A lot of holidays in a very short period of time, not only that my mother’s birthday is just a few days after Christmas so it means a lot more presents for her and anyone who has a birthday close to Christmas I bet that they like that they were born so close to the Christmas! I was born in winter but not too soon after Christmas though, as my birthday is three months apart from Christmas so I was pretty much born in late winter as my birthday is in March and that isn’t all because I didn’t mention Valentine’s day! Companies thrive due to that because we always buy their products for somebody and then for ourselves in some cases. I hope that all of you had a great holidays, I know I had a good holidays myself although the age of my bones are getting the best of me every day and while I did had a good holidays I am still a bit disappointed over the fact that we didn’t see a lot of white winters which I mean snow. We didn’t have snow on Christmas, in fact, it was close to 70s on Christmas…

How are you all?! I hope that everything is well with you all, I know I haven’t done snippets article in a very long time as I have been investing a lot of my time on other parts of JoshiesWorld and that is reviews as some of you already know by now that the reviews are a new addition for JoshiesWorld. Not only that, we all know that Christmas is coming faster than we feel or think and this means that we have been busy or that we are about to get busier than ever especially trying to shop for some of the things for our family and friends! Even I am already thinking about the things or what to do for Christmas I am forgetting that there is Halloween coming up in just a matter of few days and then there is thanksgiving on the way! There are so many things for me, trying to juggle a lot of things and hoping that one of them doesn’t slip through but even sometimes they are difficult I like doing them. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I succeed and that is just the norms for the people who try to accomplish something that they want to accomplish or reaching whatever the goals that they want to reach. Is there something that you…

Computers Made A Difference For A Deaf Child!

This is just a very small post for you all to read because this is more on a personal level than I normally write. For many years, I have been looking for pictures of myself when I was young, especially my accomplishments and whatnot. I do know that I was the first student to demonstrate a new computer with disc compact (CD) for Pike County schools in Kentucky; that is the newspaper that I am still in search of, but I have found an old VHS which I am working on figuring out how to transfer the VHS digitally. If so, I will show it around here or on social media. While we were going through old things such as pictures, VHS tapes, and whatnot, I finally found some newspapers with me in them. It was the talk of Pike County, Ky, because I was a student who happened to be Deaf student who was paving the way to get new computers for the students at my school when I was just five years old. During my time in grade school, I was five years old or around that age; when anyone thinks of someone who is a computer whiz, I would be it, and being Deaf is what made me so, which is something I am very thankful for.…

International Deaf Awareness Month

It is that time of year again, as we are at the beginning of September in 2019, and it is the month of International Deaf Awareness Month! Every year in September, the deaf and hard-of-hearing community comes together to celebrate. At the same time, we use this opportunity as a platform to raise awareness among the public, educating them about our community and sharing with them many aspects valued in the Deaf community, such as its culture and various sign languages. As for me here in United States, American Sign Language is not the only sign language because every country have their own country such as British Sign Language (BSL), Mexican Sign Language (LSM), Australia Sign Language (Auslan), French Sign Language (LSF), South African Sign Language (SASL), Korean Sign Language (KSL) and others so you get the idea that most of the countries have their own sign languages including the one here in the United States of America which is American Sign Language but the United States is not the only one county that use American Sign Language since Canada also use American Sign Language as one of their primary sign language along with another one which is Quebec Sign Language (LSQ). So, a lot of you who are hearing don’t know a lot about the Deaf community, and unfortunately,…
