The other day, on March 2, 2026, my mother, Chad, and I decided to go out for an early dinner instead of cooking at home. Since we were already in Pikeville, Kentucky, running an errand, we stopped by Applebee’s Grill + Bar. I noticed a new item on the menu I wanted to try, and Chad was curious about it too—the O-M-Cheese Burger. The O-M-Cheese Burger is served in a sizzling skillet of molten queso and a blend of cheddar cheeses. The all-beef burger is topped with American cheese, Applewood-smoked bacon, and spicy honey mustard, with fries on the side. Before our burgers arrived, Chad ordered some appetizers for the table: Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip and Spinach & Artichoke Dip (a free appetizer, a $25 deal for two O-M-Cheese Burgers). I decided to skip the appetizers, so I wouldn’t get too full before my burger arrived. For a drink, I ordered a Sugar-Free Red Bull. Normally, I prefer Monster Energy Zero, but since Applebee’s didn’t have it, Red Bull was the next best option. The O-M-Cheese Burger is priced at $11.99, but the Pikeville location was offering a deal: two O-M-Cheese Burgers and one free appetizer for $25. Chad and I decided to take advantage of that offer. Keep in mind that the O-M-Cheese Burger is a…
Some products land squarely on my radar for a JoshiesWorld review, and supporting small businesses is always one of them. One such brand is TruBiz Coffee Co., which kindly sent over one of its coffees for review. The product featured here is Kiss-Fist French Vanilla Coffee (Ground, 12 oz.). Before diving into taste, aroma, and overall experience, it’s worth sharing a bit about the company behind the coffee. TruBiz Coffee Co. is a Latina- and Deaf-owned, family-run small business founded by Phil and Bregitt. The brand focuses on specialty coffee produced in small batches and shipped fresh. Their lineup includes core blends, flavored coffees, and seasonal or holiday offerings, available in both whole bean and ground options. While TruBiz Coffee Co. is family-run, the coffee reviewed here was roasted and shipped by their California roasting and fulfillment partner, Temecula Coffee Roasters, based in Temecula, California. They specialize in roasting, packaging, and drop-shipping specialty-grade coffee for private-label brands. In this case, the coffee was roasted and shipped directly from their facility on behalf of TruBiz Coffee Co. Taste and Brewing Experience I brewed the Kiss-Fist French Vanilla using a standard drip coffee maker—one of the most common methods in everyday households. Coffee flavor is shaped by several factors, including roast level, bean quality, and added flavorings such as vanilla, which remains…
Subway has launched new items on their menu and calls them series. You can choose from a few different items in the series. Under that series, there are a few, but for Deli Heroes, it has #99 Grand Slam Ham, #15 Titan Turkey, #17 Garlic Roast Beef, and #30 The Beast. Another is Cheesesteaks, which has #1 The Philly, #33 Teriyaki Blitz, #2 The Outlaw, and # The Monster. Another one is Italianos, which has #23 The Hotshot Italiano, #18 The Ultimate B.M.T., #4 Supreme Meats, #6 The Boss, and #5 Bella Mozza. Another is Chicken has #16 All-Pro Sweet Onion Teriyaki, #20 Elite Chicken & Bacon Ranch, #8 The Great Garlic, and #9 The Champ. Another last is Clubs, which has the #19 Pickleball Club, #10 All-American Club, and #11 Subway Club. If you ask me what is up with these series, numbers, and names, it is sports such as NFL players customized subs; they tell Subway what they would like to have for their sandwich, and then what would they name it? Then, put them on their menu as a series and let the customers have a taste of them, especially if they wonder how their favorite players like their sandwich at Subway. You can check out what these have, such as toppings, what kind of bread, and…
