Mix 02-19-2026

I have decided to start drafting the new Mix article. There are a few topics I would like to address. I hope there are at least a few topics you might be interested in reading about in this new Mix article. Here is the list of topics that will be mentioned. I have no idea when I will publish this Mix article, and I also don’t know how many topics it will end up including, because I sometimes add a few more after I’ve already saved the topics I had planned for the Mix article or a separate article. If you prefer to read only a few topics you may be interested in instead of the entire article, you can do that by clicking the topic you want to read, and it will take you directly to that topic. Or if you don’t have enough time to read the entire article, you can come back to this article at a later time, and press/click the topic where you stopped so that you can resume reading this Mix article. Mix 02-19-2026 Topics List. Let’s start with me first! Lately, I am doing a-okay. Not too long ago, I went to my semiannual check-up (every half a year), and I was honestly dreading it because I knew I was overdue for a…

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from JoshiesWorld!

This is the owner of JoshiesWorld, Joshua “Joshie” Sullivan, and I want to personally wish every one of you a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays, such as Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and others I may have forgotten to mention! As for Hanukkah, I am somewhat late, as it is celebrated from December 14 to 22. But I still want to recognize that, as other holidays besides Christmas and New Year are important as well. Some know what these holidays are, where they come from, and how they are celebrated. The celebration of Christmas started in Rome around 336, but it was not a major Christian festival until the 19th century, which began on January 1 in 1801 and ended on December 31 in 1900. The original reason for Christmas was to celebrate Jesus Christ’s birthday on December 25, a tradition established by Pope Julius I, combining religious observances with influences from winter solstice festivals such as Yule and Saturnalia. As for Hanukkah, it is a holiday for the Jewish people, the word Hanukkah means dedication due to purifying the Temple after the Jewish resistance against the Greek occuptation by Seleucid Empire after they outlawed the Jewish practices and defiled their Temple in 168 B.C.E. Hanukkah holiday also marks Jewish resists having their culture destroyed, and the fight…

Mix 11-26-2025

Hey there, everybody! I hope that all of you are doing well and keeping warm, since we are heading into winter, cold weather, depending on where you are from. Speaking of where you are from, I would love to hear where you are from (do not give the exact location, but a region, or at least a hundred or so miles away), and how the weather is over there in the comment. Some of you already know that I am from the eastern part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, near the border with West Virginia in the Appalachian Mountains. The weather here in winter often surprises us; one day it feels like summer, and the next it’s freezing with snow. For instance, a perfect example of a weather surprise is the flood a day after Valentine’s Day this year, 2025, which has become the second-largest flood since 1977. The great flood of 1977 submerged most of our cities, and that happened again almost 50 years later on February 15th, 2025. It was unbelievable to witness, because where I reside, by a river, the river became pretty much a lake, with my house becoming an oceanfront. I, along with my mother, was very fortunate that my house is on a side of the mountain, but unfortunately, all of the houses below…

MultiTopic 8-4-2025

Hey there, folks! How have you all been doing lately? I hope all is well with you. I am sure some of you are looking forward to the summer coming quicker than it feels, as the summer solstice will start this year on June 20th, 2025. As for me, I have been doing okay. I have some good and bad days, just like everyone else. But one thing I will tell you is that I am not looking forward to the summer this year, just as I didn’t look forward to the summer last year and years before that as well because I am not a fan of summer which I am sure that some of you by now knows that as I have posted on the social media for many years that I am not a fan of summer and that I am a big time fan of winter. In case some of you are unaware and wonder why I’m not a fan of summer, it’s because I’m not a fan of hot temperatures, which seem to get hotter every year and can be unbearable at times. I don’t know how some of you get excited about the summer, unless you’re in school and have the break. However, being outside in the scorching hot sun is no thanks to…

The Kentucky and West Virginia Floods of 2025

On February 15th, 2025, just a day after Valentine’s Day, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia were devastated by floods that almost broke the record for the great floods in 1977 for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia. The Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia weren’t the only two states devastated by the floods on February 15th, 2025. Tennessee was hit, too, but not as badly as the Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia. On February 15th, 2025, two counties devastated by the flooding were Pike County, Kentucky, and Mingo County, West Virginia. These two counties are located in eastern Kentucky (the largest county in Kentucky) and southwestern West Virginia. These two neighboring counties are on the border between Kentucky and West Virginia. The cities/towns in these two neighboring counties in two different states that were devastated by the flooding on February 15th, 2025, are Pikeville, Coal Run, Hardy, Blackberry, Sidney, Dix Fork, Stone, Belfry, South Williamson, Turkey Creek, and others for Pike County, Ky, and Williamson, West end Williamson, East end Williamson, Delbarton, Matewan, Red Jacket, Gilbert, Logan, and others. I am sure many of you are familiar with them because they are very popular and known for the Hatfield-McCoy family feud, and now the best places for ATV/Side by Side/Dirt Bike riders where they are legal…

Fear of Wheelchair Flying

As some of you may already know, I am not only Deaf, but I also have another disability, and that is I am in a wheelchair, so I am a wheelchair user, which I have been since between an age of 8 and 10, which is over two decades ago. I have written some articles somewhere on here that I mentioned my reason for being a wheelchair user, so some of you might know. Still, for those that don’t know, I wasn’t in a wheelchair after I was born since I mentioned I became a wheelchair user when I was 8 to 10 years old, but how that happened was that at the age of seven, I broke my femur in half on my right leg which is my strongest leg. I have a few friends who assumed that I am in a wheelchair because I am paralyzed from the waist down, but I am not paralyzed at all, and I can still feel both of my legs; I still can move my legs and whatnot, but after I get out of the hospital which I have spent for about a month I was in physical therapy to get myself back to walk again as I used to until that incident. For some reason, in physical therapy, everything was focused…

MultiTopics 9-30-2024

I hope that every one of you is doing well! I have not written an article in a long while, especially with more than a topic. I went through two holidays, I believe, which were Christmas and New Year. Many things have been happening around here that I could barely find any time to write an article or a review, especially amid these holidays and having to go to a few appointments or meetings – quite a lot in a short time! But here I am writing a new article for once. However, this article will take some time to complete and publish. When I write an article with more than one topic, I always take the time because I write for each topic at a time. Hopefully, some topics might be interesting for you to read, and as well, having something that you can read for a while or only read a topic, then take a break and come back to read another topic! As some of you know, I have called two different titles for an article like this, one with more than one topic, such as tidbits, and then I renamed it to snippets. After getting feedback from some people suggesting that it should have a better title than snippets and that the title should make more…
