Hey there, everybody! I hope that all of you are doing well and keeping warm, since we are heading into winter, cold weather, depending on where you are from. Speaking of where you are from, I would love to hear where you are from (do not give the exact location, but a region, or at least a hundred or so miles away), and how the weather is over there in the comment. Some of you already know that I am from the eastern part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, near the border with West Virginia in the Appalachian Mountains. The weather here in winter often surprises us; one day it feels like summer, and the next it’s freezing with snow. For instance, a perfect example of a weather surprise is the flood a day after Valentine’s Day this year, 2025, which has become the second-largest flood since 1977. The great flood of 1977 submerged most of our cities, and that happened again almost 50 years later on February 15th, 2025. It was unbelievable to witness, because where I reside, by a river, the river became pretty much a lake, with my house becoming an oceanfront. I am sure that some of you have heard of these words somewhere, whether it be auto-correction, on social media, in the news, in another country that doesn’t have much knowledge about the community as we do over here in the United States and as well some countries in Europe. By now if you haven’t realized what I am referring to by looking at the headline of this article then the words I am referring to is Deaf and Dumb or even Deaf and Mute. There was someone, who is Deaf found a words replacement suggestion in Nintendo’s store saying “Deaf and Dumb” and decided to share that on Reddit which I will provide a link to that Reddit at the end but he had shared his frustration or that he was surprised about the words replacement suggestion in Nintendo for “Deaf and Dumb” instead of Deaf in a Facebook group titled ASL That!. Asking the community about what he should respond or how to react to that, to the people’s comments in response to his concern about the “Deaf and Dumb” suggestion by Nintendo on Reddit but didn’t share the link to that part on Reddit which had me looking after the one that he was talking about so to get a better understanding of what people’s responding to…
How are every one of you guys and women have done lately? I hope that all of you are doing well, I am doing well myself but lately I have been somewhat more tired than I usually have been in few months because I think it is where I am on a time restrain which is one of few things that I don’t like about the time but like I have said before that the time are part of our life since our birth and will be part of our death as in from time of birth to time of death. So, imagine a few centuries ago where there was no time for the people, time have become part of our life when the technology advanced and invented a clock. Who do we thank for the time? To my understanding, in this case not many of the people know this but the time were invented mainly for the railroads company because they need a way of knowing when to depart and to arrive at certain places so that’s how the different time zones invented such as EST, PST or whatever is because of the trains.
