JoshiesWorld celebrates this milestone with each of you. Today, July 4, 2026, marks the 250th birthday of the United States of America, which declared independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776. We only get to celebrate a 250th birthday once, and I hope that fifty years from now, we’re still around to celebrate the 300th together. But even though America is an independent country, there is no true freedom here until everyone — regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, religion, age, disability, or class — is free from their oppressors. As long as any oppression exists, freedom can’t. No one is free until we are all free. The Declaration of Independence says “all men are created equal,” and the Constitution opens with “We the People.” That means all of us. This country isn’t mine, and it isn’t yours. It belongs to everyone, and it’s a home to everyone, including the Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) community. America was built by our ancestors’ hands, immigrants included, and now it’s our hands that keep building it for future generations, for better or worse. The Founding Fathers aimed to form a union in which we, the people, would have justice and liberty. As long as we stay united, our democracy endures, and we, as Americans, have a duty to…
On this Memorial Day, we remember the very people who died fighting for our country and those who are now fighting for it with their lives. It is also a day to remind ourselves that we cannot take our freedom for granted. We take this day to reflect on the pains that were inflicted on our country, such as the American Revolution, Slavery, the Civil War, the World Wars, the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attack, the Insurrection of January 6th, 2021, and more, so that we can remind ourselves to be a better country that everyone dreams of being part of. It’s not only the veterans who fought the wars for us and the soldiers who are now fighting for us that we should remember; we should also remember that America is made up of all walks of life. Because the United States of America is not just mine, nor yours, it is ours. This includes all races, genders, sexual orientations, ages, religions, able-bodied status, disabilities, political affiliations/views, intelligence quotients, and other factors. It is the inclusive people that are the heart of the United States of America, and we should reject any hate because hatred is what divides us. For the sake of our country, for which the soldiers died fighting, don’t allow hate to win, and let’s be…
Not too long ago, President Donald J. Trump removed the accessibility from the white house’s website, which President Donald J. Trump’s administration manages. Doing this caused many Deaf people and as well disabled people, such as people who are blind, to feel oppressed by their own President, which in this case is President Donald J. Trump. Not only has President Trump removed the accessibility from his white house’s website, but there is something big amiss that many of us have noticed, especially those who are in the Deaf community and that is not getting any information of any kind from President Trump or his press secretary with American Sign Language interpreter which is unacceptable. When it comes to Donald Trump, this didn’t happen the first time because it happened during his first term as the United States President until we, along with the National Association of the Deaf, filed a lawsuit against President Trump’s administration for not providing us Deaf people the accessibility to any information that President Trump, his team, his press, and his administration delivers. This is a repeat, as it’s happening in his second term. Any time that President Trump’s administration shares information of any kind, they mustn’t be only accessible to hearing people with audio but also that they are accessible to Deaf people with American…
I know it is about time that I finally decided to write a new snippets article after a very long time, and I apologize. This year has been hectic for me, including a thing that is a very good thing that happened in my life before that I had a bit of time for articles writing or writing some reviews. Still, since that happened, I shifted all the time I have and more on that good thing that happened this year for me because it is the most important thing for me over writing articles, writing reviews, or anything that has to do with the internet such as social media or whatnot. I am sure I will share what I am talking about in one of the topics below. Still, I think it is because I have not written a snippets article in a very long time, it might be a bit long and has several topics, but at least there is plenty of reading for you to do! As always, here are the topics included in this snippet’s article. To see the list of the topics, you can do so by clicking the “expand topics list” below to open up the list of topics included in this snippets article. This also will be helpful for anyone who does not…
