For a while, I have been writing articles on a single topic, but this time, I will write a multiple-topic, obvious article. Hence, the title is MultiTopic because I want to write about several topics. I have a list of topics I continue to add to, and it’s getting a bit too long for my taste, so I need to consolidate some of them in one article to clean up my list. Additionally, I don’t want the topics on my list to become too dated. As always, I hope you enjoy at least one of the topics covered in this article. If you’d like to discuss a specific topic further, please leave a comment below.
Ad Blocker Harms Content Creators
Having ads on our websites, articles, videos, and other content generates revenue, allowing us to cover our bills, food, equipment, and other expenses. For example, my bills, which include several domains, cover the server and maintenance for all my websites, including JoshiesWorld’s website, equipment, and other expenses, amounting to thousands of dollars almost monthly. Many of us, including myself, do not want to charge anyone to access our content, as some do. In exchange, we run ads, allowing us to pay for the creation or publication of our content for you all at no cost. Think of it as sponsors, but they are advertisers who pay to run their ads on our content so that we can earn for our labor and pay the bills that are responsible for running websites or allowing us to be able to get more or upgrade our equipment such as cameras, laptops, desktops, image editing software (I use Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop), video editing software (I use Adobe Premiere Pro for Windows, and Final Cut Pro for Mac), tools, etc. Instead of charging you for access to our and other content creators’ content, please refrain from blocking ads or enabling an ad blocker when visiting our websites, social media channels, and other platforms. I know having ads is annoying, but it’s better than having to charge you for the access; if you have an ads blocker but do not want to turn it off, then you can go to your ads blocker options, add our websites, social media channels, and whatnot as allowed/allowlist. We would greatly appreciate it!

Is a content creator considered a job?
Some people think that creating content is not a job; they often advise them to find a job without realizing that being a content creator is a profession. Being a content creator is not limited to a single type of work; a content creator holds various titles, including blogger, journalist, reviewer, photographer, artist, writer, vlogger, streamer, musician, and more. The content creator is an umbrella term encompassing various titles. As I mentioned above, being a content creator is a job. We are creating content to publish for our readers, viewers, fans, supporters, and others. We earn money as content creators, and there are several ways to generate income. For example, advertisements, affiliate programs, sponsorships, partnerships, influencer or social media marketing, and others. Yes, as content creators, we have several pipelines through which the money flows to us, rather than just one company paying us, as would be the case if we were working for a company. Being content creators gives us the freedom to be our own boss, allowing us to decide how we want to earn money and then do the work to achieve it. Being a content creator and earning money from various sources is often more lucrative than working at a restaurant or store. Being a content creator allows you to be creative and strategic, brainstorm ideas, and earn money from multiple sources.
But it is not as easy as it sounds. It’s not as if you write and publish an article that you’ll get money immediately. As a blogger, once I have published an article, I have to think of a way to market that article and get that article out there, which means getting more readers because the more readers read an article the more money that I can earn from the likes of ads or getting paid by a few companies to advertise their business or products in that article. For example, a business would come to me and ask me to promote their business, so I would ask them how many impressions they are expecting. If they say, let’s say, for example, they want to pay $2 for every 1,000 impressions. Then I would decline that, so we would go into a negotiation on it to where we both would win – like they want to pay me $2 per 1,000 impressions, but I want $10 per 1,000 impressions, so for us both to win, I would say ok, we’ll go in the middle and do $5 or $6 per 1,000 impressions. They’d also have to decide how long they wanted their business or products advertised by me. If they specified one day, I’d charge them $5-$6 for every 1,000 impressions the article received in that day or 24 hours. Impressions in marketing refer to the number of times an ad has been displayed. You would have given me five impressions if you read this article and refreshed it five times. This should give you an idea of what impressions in marketing are. That is just one out of a few ways that you can make money as a blogger; if you have two companies wanting to promote their business or products in your article, then you would get double the money or more depending on how many companies would like to have their stuff advertised in your article or on your social media.
So, is being a content creator isn’t a job? Now, you get a small picture of what a content creator does to make money. I just provided a small example of how a blogger makes money, but for another type of content creator, such as vloggers, streamers, and reviewers. They have their own methods of generating income through their activities. Being a blogger can be awesome if you get everything right because many agencies and businesses would pay us bloggers to travel at their expense in exchange for us sharing pictures and videos and writing a review about the trip, such as a review for the hotel, a review for food, a review for entertainment, and others. Being a blogger can also be a social media influencer; that is where all the money is, at least for me.

There was another name considered for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia.
Before the Colony of Virginia split into states, such as the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the states of Indiana, Illinois, and portions of Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, as well as West Virginia, the lawmakers had to come up with the name for these states, for example, my Commonwealth of Kentucky was considered to be named Kentake which means the place or Meadows by the Iroquois, Kentucke because of Kentucky River which Shawnees calling it “at the head of the river” in Virginia but before it become the state/commonwealth, it was known as Botetourt County in the colony of Virginia. Of the three of these names, they ultimately chose Kentuckee but later changed their mind and called it what it is today: Kentucky. Before West Virginia was established, lawmakers considered naming the state Kanawa after the Kanawa River, which was named after a Native American tribe. After the lawmakers realized that by naming the state Kanawa could cause some confusion where the name is tributed to two things, the river and the indigenous people’s tribe so if Kanawa is the name for the state then there would be three Kawana names then we wouldn’t know which one are we talking about so they decided to go with West Virginia because it was part of Virginia’s west. Kanawa was not the only name that West Virginia considered. The names beside Kanawa that were the closest to being named are Vandalia, Augusta, Allegheny, and New Virginia.
I hope this brief history of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the state of West Virginia was interesting for you, as it was for me when I did some reading the other day. Here are two links that you can read to learn more about the history of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the state of West Virginia.

The New Year’s Resolutions for 2025
I am sure many people make New Year’s resolutions every year, and now that we are in 2025, it’s time for the 2025 New Year’s resolutions. The purpose of making New Year’s resolutions every year is to remind ourselves to take action to achieve or accomplish the goals we have set for ourselves. Often, when we make our own New Year’s resolutions, some goals are unrealistic because they are beyond what is possible for us to achieve. That is why, when making New Year’s resolutions, we should create a list that seems reachable or more realistic. For example, I am sure that there are many of us has this down on our list to have a ton of money, and often that is just unrealistic unless we win the lottery, but again, winning the lottery is almost impossible unless one or only a few of us out of about 334 million people here in the United States would be lucky to win the lottery! This is why I always advise my family and close friends who make New Year’s resolutions to create two separate lists: one for realistic goals that are more achievable, and another for unrealistic or far-fetched goals that are unlikely to be reached unless they get lucky.
So, if you plan to make your New Year’s resolutions for 2025, I suggest you have two lists. What goals are reachable for you? It doesn’t have to be easily reachable; it can be hard to reach as long as the goals are realistic. Then, create another list of goals that are more unrealistic or nearly impossible to reach. When you do that, focus on the list you can reach first. Once you have achieved these goals, you can then allocate your time to attempting to reach the unrealistic or near-impossible goals. Start with the easier ones first and then tackle the harder ones afterwards, so you can clear the easier ones out of the way and be more motivated to pursue the near-impossible goals.
If you’ve already written down your New Year’s resolutions for 2025, I’d love to hear them. You can do that by commenting below or sharing this article on my social media platforms.
My New Year Resolutions For 2025.
- Continue maintaining my weight since I lost all the weight I had last year when I was on a diet for a year.
- Hopefully, I will receive more products from various companies and invitations to visit places with expenses paid in exchange for an honest review or sharing pictures and videos on social media, such as JoshiesWorld. Finding someone or a company to collaborate with. Psst, please visit this link if you’d like me to review your products!
- Becoming stricter with spending money to save up. Not only that, but also finding a way to earn more money, because, as you can see, the prices of goods are increasing quickly.
- Going on a half-week or a week at most vacation with my mom, especially in Spring or Fall, because I am not a fan of the heat in Summer, which can be very unpleasant for me.
- Upgrading my iPhone 14 Pro Max 256 GB to the iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB or 1 TB (for content creation purposes) when it becomes available in September or October.
- I want to form two more business websites. I prefer not to share my ideas, but I can say that they involve Deaf people. Before I can even form two new websites, I need some funding or sponsors. If you’d like to help me with that, please consider donating (even a dollar is a big help!). Facebook no longer stores livestreaming videos.
A few weeks ago, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, announced a new video storage policy, effective June 22, 2025, under which Facebook will no longer store livestreaming videos for more than 30 days. Although they will no longer store livestreaming videos on June 22, 2025, this policy has been in effect since February 19, 2025. Still, it allows the Facebook users who have livestreaming videos on their profile or page before February 19, 2025, some time to download them, but on June 22, 2025, they will be deleted. If you posted any livestreaming videos on your Facebook profile or page after February 19, 2025, they will be removed within 30 days. However, if you posted any livestreaming videos before February 19, 2025, you have until June 22, 2025, to download them. However, any videos you have uploaded to your Facebook profile or page will still be stored permanently, as they haven’t changed; the only change is that your livestreaming (live) videos will be removed within 30 days. If you wish to keep any of your livestreaming videos on Facebook, you will have 30 days to download them. You can upload them as a video, which will remain on your Facebook profile or page.
- Here is the link about the upcoming changes to how live videos are stored: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1005165994166600
- And how to download your Facebook live videos: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/3579146952128313
As a business owner, news and media identity, and content creator, what are my thoughts on the new policy change for Facebook regarding livestreamed videos? I hardly do any livestreaming videos, as you know, because I’m not really into doing live videos myself, unless something significant is happening. Then, I might do it, but when it comes to me talking, I’m not interested. Additionally, whenever I want to do a live video for any reason, I think of YouTube before considering Facebook. I’m glad about that, because if there’s a live video, it will likely be on YouTube, so I’m in the clear. However, I can see that it will affect some content creators, especially Deaf content creators, as they often post live videos on Facebook. There are a lot of them, and now they will be losing their content if they don’t download it in time before Facebook removes it. So, if you are a Deaf content creator, I highly recommend starting live videos on YouTube, as they are, in my opinion, better suited to your needs. Not only that, but many people live stream videos to make sales, and they will lose hundreds, if not thousands, of live videos that they created for selling something. Some businesses, especially discount stores, purchase large quantities of items in bulk and then resell them. They often conduct live videos where customers are given a number, allowing them to request items during the live video by commenting in the comments section. Hence, they write down the customer’s number, then they will come over to the shop and pick them up at a later time. Regarding Facebook’s new policy on live video, which will be removed within 30 days, I suggest that as soon as they’ve completed a live video, they download it and then upload it as a video to their Facebook profile or page. That will be some hassle to do, but that’s the way they have to do it. Again, that is why I suggest that if you want to do live video, then do it on YouTube. When you go live on YouTube, you can share the live video link on your Facebook profile or page for anyone to watch. That way, once you are done with the live video, it will be stored permanently on your YouTube channel, instead of being removed within 30 days, as Facebook does.

A county in Texas that is named after a Deaf person.
I don’t think there are a lot of people who realize or are aware that there is a county in Texas, or any state for that matter, that is named after a Deaf person. There is a county in Texas called Deaf Smith County. The seat of Deaf Smith County is Hereford, known as the world’s beef capital. Deaf Smith County is located in northwestern Texas and has a population of over 18,000, as recorded in the 2020 census. As I mentioned, Deaf Smith County in Texas is named after a Deaf person, Erastus “Deaf” Smith. Deaf Smith County was created in 1876 by the Texas legislature, but it was officially established in 1890, with the town of La Plata serving as the original county seat. However, the county’s seat was later changed to Hereford. As for Erastus “Deaf” Smith, a county was named after him. He was a partially Deaf scout and soldier who served in the Texas Revolution and was one of the first to reach the Alamo after its fall in 1836. In Deaf Smith County, Texas, there is an electric utility cooperative company in Hereford, also named after Erastus “Deaf” Smith, known as Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative, Inc. The cooperative is headquartered in the county’s seat, Hereford. Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative provides electricity, water, and telecommunications services (including cable, internet, and telephone) to residents in several counties, such as Deaf Smith County (obviously!), Castro County, Parmer County, and part of Oldham County. While it is commendable that Deaf Smith County, Texas, is named after a Deaf person, the median household income in the county is below the poverty line, with a household income of $29,601 and a family income of $32,391. Males had a median income of $26,090, compared to $19,113 for females. While the city in Deaf Smith County, Texas, is Hereford, which is the county seat, it has six communities and four ghost towns. The majority of the population in Deaf Smith County is under 18 years old, with the second largest group being between 25 and 44 years old.
As for Erastus “Deaf” Smith, he is known by the nickname “Deaf Smith.” He was born on April 19, 1787, and died on November 30, 1837. It seems that there is no clear information on how he died, although it is said that there were a few people who said his death was caused by tuberculosis, but officially, it is said there was no cause of his death. After the Texas Revolution, he led a company of Texas Rangers. There is a marker at a churchyard that says “Deaf Smith, the Texas Spy, Died Nov. 30, 1837,” but no one knows his exact burial site, as they say. A few movies portray Erastus “Deaf” Smith, such as Texas Rising (2015). The actor who portrayed him was Jeffrey Dean Morgan, known for his roles as Negan in The Walking Dead and its spin-off, The Walking Dead: Dead City.
I have never been there before. I have also never visited the state of Texas, and besides Deaf Smith County, I don’t want to visit that state for many reasons. I wouldn’t mind visiting New Mexico, though, and Deaf Smith County, Texas, shares a border with New Mexico. Who knows, maybe one day! Have you ever visited there or lived there? Please let me know how it’s going over there in the comments! I wonder how many Deaf people live there.
Here are a couple of links if you want to read more about Erastus “Deaf” Smith or Deaf Smith County in Texas.

How to contact Meta to appeal their decision?
Many of us have faced this issue with Meta’s decision to restrict our Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and other accounts, or have had our accounts deleted without a sensible reason. Most of the time, when this happened, they notified us that our account had been restricted or deleted, and they left no instructions or a way for us to appeal their decision to retrieve our account. When it happened to me, I was fortunate to have a meta-verified account, which enables me to contact support without having to navigate a series of links to get in touch. This helps me appeal their decision or resolve an issue with my account, such as a hacked one. Once that was done, I regained access to my account. Everything was back to normal. I realized that it was a bit unfair for people who don’t have a Meta-verified account, as they couldn’t easily contact them directly. I researched to find a solution that would be easier for users on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and other platforms. To appeal the decision to restrict or delete their account without a reason. They have AI (artificial intelligence) handling the majority of the work in restricting and deleting people’s accounts, so sometimes it makes mistakes. I have found a solution: a way for anyone who does not have meta verification to appeal their decision by contacting them.
So if for some reason that your account is restricted or deleted on Facebook, Instagram, Threads or other platforms under Meta, here is how you can get through them to appeal their decision and when you appealed their decision they will get back to you via your e-mail that you have registered with your Facebook, Instagram, Threads or others account. Here is the link where you can appeal their decision.
The link above is to the Oversight Board, under Meta, for anyone who wishes to appeal a decision regarding the restriction or deletion of their account on any of Meta’s platforms. When you submit an appeal, it will be sent to a Meta oversight board member, who will review your account and the reason for your appeal. They will then decide whether to restore your account or remove the restriction. I hope this helps if you receive a notification from them that your account is being restricted, deleted, or banned.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement people visited Pike County, KY, and Mingo County, WV.
On February 15, 2025, a day after Valentine’s Day, Pike County, KY, and Mingo County, WV, were hit by a devastating flood, nearly breaking the record set by the 1977 great flood. Many homes, businesses, and buildings were flooded and severely damaged or destroyed. Pike County, Ky, is my county, and I got to witness everything that was happening. There is a street between a river and my home; the river has taken over the street and now resembles a lake. Luckily, our home didn’t get flooded because we live on a hill. Unfortunately, we are the only ones who live on a hill, while the rest live on the street, so the water went above their roofs. It almost reached us, but it stopped in time. I have written about this event, which you can read here: https://www.joshiesworld.com/the-kentucky-and-west-virginia-floods-of-2025/
Why am I talking about the second great flood of 2025 when the topic of the talk is about the U.S. ICE visiting this area? Because, for some selfish reason, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement came in while we were screaming for some help from the government, such as some supplies, food, shelters, water, and whatnot. Both the governments of Pike County, Kentucky, and Mingo County, West Virginia, requested that FEMA assist them. When they did that, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement came in before FEMA could as they took the advantage to capture immigrants because they knew that many of us would be outside trying to help the communities out, cleaning some buildings, having some food delivered, and whatnot so it would be easy for them to spot immigrants to have them arrested. They don’t care that there were many of us suffering, trying to get some help, and whatnot they care about catching some immigrants that were out in the open trying to help our neighbors or they go to the shelters so that they could be safe but in the end they got trapped by the U.S. ICE. Some people thought that these people were out to assist the government and others to rescue people from the flooding or to make sure that the people around here are safe, but in the end, it turned out that it was the U.S. ICE looking for immigrants to get them.
A few days later, after I found out about this, I conducted some research and discovered that two cooks at a new restaurant called Toronto’s Steakhouse and Mexican Bar and Grill, which had recently launched, had been apprehended by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). How does it look on Pike County, Kentucky’s attorney general now? Because the attorney general for Pike County, KY, is the son of the owner of the building where the restaurant is on the Mingo County, WV, side. Both are staunch supporters of Trump, and the attorney general for Pike County, Kentucky, is a Republican. As you know, Trump supporters and Republicans are known for being against immigrants, even if they are legal. They do not care about anyone, including the citizens, but only about themselves and their interests. That should be a question for everyone in Pike County, Kentucky, and Mingo County, West Virginia, to ask. Should the people in both Pike County, KY, and Mingo County, WV, trust the attorney general for Pike County, KY, and the father who lives in Mingo County, WV? I will leave that for you all to decide. When we have the election, this should be one of the critical question to ask the attorney general for Pike County, Ky on why he didn’t do anything about it and keep it in mind that there is a good chance that he does not care about you as that is what Republicans are known for. I know that for me, I am giving my vote to someone else, especially to the one who genuinely cares about us in Pike County, KY.
If there were anybody from this area reported to the U.S. ICE that they suspect some people around here are immigrants and have them arrested to be deported, then shame on them. I would not be proud to be part of a community that reports on good people who happen to be immigrants because they are human beings just like us.
For you, Christians.
Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt.
Exodus 22:21When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 19:33-34And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.
Deuteronomy 10:19Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.
Exodus 23:9Bypass the article’s paywall
Have you ever wanted to read an article, but couldn’t access the full content, or had a pop-up appear telling you to pay to subscribe? I am sure many of us have, and they can be annoying, especially since some articles could be important for us to know about. However, we could only access these articles or news by subscribing to them, which would require payment. That is what a paywall is. What if I tell you there is a way to bypass the paywall and read the articles fully? There is a way, but please remember that it may not always be effective. However, they do offer a few options that you can select to try to bypass the paywall. If all their options cannot bypass the paywall, they have strengthened their paywall. However, if they haven’t, then there are likely loopholes that can be used to bypass it. To bypass the paywall, visit a website, copy the URL or link from an article or news that you want to read with a paywall, and then paste that URL or link into the website. Once you do that, they will provide you with several options, such as Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, and so on, in case they cannot bypass the paywall by default. The website is called Remove Paywall, and here’s the link to it, which I suggest you bookmark to know where to go: https://www.removepaywall.com.
If you use Google Chrome, RemovePaywall has an extension that you can download for your browser so that you can click the RemovePaywall icon in your browser bar. They also have an extension for Mozilla Firefox and an iOS shortcut where you can ask Siri, “Siri, Remove Paywall,” which will bypass the paywall for you on your iPhone.

I mentioned this in another article, in one of my old snippets. Still, I wanted to remind you again in case you forgot or didn’t read the article mentioning the paywall. Speaking of paywalls, as you know, I write articles, and JoshiesWorld is a news media company that also serves as a brand identity for a content creator. I have never required readers to pay to subscribe to JoshiesWorld so that they can access all the articles on JoshiesWorld. I will continue not to add a paywall to any articles here on JoshiesWorld for as long as I can. It would be my absolute last resort to do that, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could support me and JoshiesWorld by donating. The ads on JoshiesWorld don’t even cover half of the expense. Even a dollar would be helpful! You can donate by going to this link: JoshiesWorld.com/donate/
Alternatively, you can purchase some JoshiesWorld merchandise, which will also help. Here is the link to shop the merch: JoshiesWorld.com/shop/

Ukraine’s Fault in the Russia-Ukraine War?
There are many Republicans, Trump supporters, and Trump himself is suddenly blaming Ukraine for the war that is going on with Russia. I am shocked at how many of these people have such a short memory about it. Because it isn’t Ukraine’s fault that they are in war with Russia, it was Russia who invaded Ukraine on February 24th, 2022, but what many people, like Republicans, forgot is that this was not the first time that Russia invaded Ukraine in recent years. Before I share some history, do you know anything about what happened on February 20, 2014? No? Well, on that day, Russia invaded Ukraine and annexed the Crimean Peninsula, part of Ukraine. That’s it? No, not even close. A month later, on April 6, 2014, two months later, Russia’s paramilitaries seized several towns in Donbas, which is also part of Ukraine, and Ukraine’s military launched an operation against them but failed to retake them fully. Annexing Crimea and a few towns in Donbas in Ukraine was Russia’s way to prepare for a full-scale war in the hope of annexing Ukraine fully on February 24th, 2022. Still, thankfully Ukraine was more prepared at that time when Russia started invading due to getting intelligence information from President Biden’s administration and then began supplying the Ukraine weapons to defend themselves which that was why it caught Russia’s dictator Putin by surprise as he said that the Russia would be able to annex the country Ukraine in matter of a day or a week at most but couldn’t as Ukraine continued defending themselves with the weapons that were supplied by the United States of America and the countries in European Unions. When Russia invaded Ukraine, the United States and the European countries restricted Ukraine from attacking the Russia’s country as the Ukraine were only allowed to defend their border between Ukraine and Russia until finally a year later on June 8, 2023 the Ukraine got the green lit to counterattack Russia from the United States and the European countries after realizing that Ukraine were having hard time trying to defend the border without attacking them on their side of the border to have a better chance to defend Ukraine themselves because when Ukraine counterattacked Russia the focus shifted to the attacks in Russia so that it would put more pressure on Russia’s soldiers because not only that they attack Ukraine but also at the same time defending themselves from Ukraine.
So what does that tell you? It was all Russia’s fault, as they were trying to annex Ukraine’s sovereignty a bit by bit, such as taking Crimea and then taking a few towns in Donbas. Russia had been planning to invade Ukraine by any means, but the reason they didn’t start attacking Ukraine as a whole was that they needed some advantage, which was annexing Crimea and Donbas. However, Ukraine’s military took back some of Donbas during that year, but failed to take it all back. If Russia had successfully annexed Ukraine, it wouldn’t stop there, because they have a long-term game plan. The plan is to reclaim all the countries under the USSR’s control before its collapse. When the Soviet Union collapsed, many countries gained independence, including Ukraine. Ukraine is the second biggest country in the Europe, it is evident that the Ukraine is their main target before they start taking the rest of other countries because the rest is smaller countries such as Belarus, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
However, thanks to the United States and NATO, it has been tough for Russia to succeed. But now, with Donald Trump being the United States president again and Republicans controlling the majority of the House of Representatives, their support for Ukraine is stopping, which potentially gives Russia the chance to advance quickly and easily, defeating the idea of freedom or democracy that the United States loves. If we do nothing about it, Russia will get all of these countries back, and we will no longer be a superpower because Russia will become even more prominent as a country. Russia is already the largest country in the world. This will backfire in the faces of the United States in a big way in the future. It was the reason that the United States and other allies formed NATO to prevent Russia from reaching that point. Still, as long as the United States backs out in support for Ukraine, we would be allowing the enemy to become stronger against us down the road, which is something we do not want! Now I hope that you realize how important it is for the United States to continue its support for Ukraine against the invading Russia, and we must continue to be solidified with other European countries, NATO. It’s not only that Russia is against Ukraine, but now it is Russia, Belarus, and North Korea against Ukraine. It’s all Ukraine that is defending against them with the supplies from the United States and the European countries, without their soldiers, while on Russia’s side, they have soldiers from North Korea and Belarus. So that means what? It is not the time for the United States of America to stop supporting Ukraine with supplies. Most of the weapons and ammunition sent from the United States are old. In a way, they send old weapons and ammunition while developing new ones for the United States military. Otherwise, we’d be throwing them away, so why not give them to Ukraine so they can be used? The majority of this money goes to making new weapons and ammunition, while we send them the old ones.

Meta’s new app: Edits
Not too long ago, the parent company of Facebook, Meta, announced that it is working on a new app called Edits, an alternative to CapCut, owned by ByteDance. If you aren’t familiar with the parent company of BYTEDance, it is a Chinese company that owns TikTok and CapCut. As you are aware, due to legal requirements, the United States will eventually ban TikTok, along with other products owned by BYTEDance. However, the United States President, Donald Trump, has issued a second executive order to extend the ban for another 75 days, giving them more time to sell TikTok to a buyer in the United States. The parent company, Meta, decided to form a new app, Edits, as an alternative for CapCut users and anyone who prefers to have their data stored in the United States rather than China. The Edits app is now available on both iOS and Google Play for pre-order at no cost. I have already pre-ordered the Edits app, so on the day it releases, it will be automatically downloaded to my iPhone. I will only use Edits over CapCut because, as a United States citizen, I prefer to keep my data domestically rather than sharing it with other countries, such as China. Who knows, the Edits app might be a lot better than TikTok’s CapCut app! The Edits app will be released on April 30, 2025, so in a few weeks. I’m looking forward to trying out the Edits app, even though I primarily use Adobe Premiere Pro for my video editing. Still, if it’s a simple video or I want to publish it quickly, then I will use the Edits app. Here are two links for both Apple and Android for you to pre-order. When the Edits app is released, it will be automatically downloaded to your phone.

President Trump’s tariffs on others are on us
Some people believe that the tariffs imposed by President Trump on various countries, including our neighbors and allies in Europe, are beneficial. There is a problem with that thinking because it is flawed. Imposing tariffs on different countries is a way to tax products from various countries, but who would bear the cost of these tariffs? We will. What many people don’t realize is that the tariffs on other countries will leave them no choice but to raise the prices on their supplies, and ultimately, we will be the ones who bear the cost. Yes, we will be paying their tax because the increased price on their products is their way of having us pay for them without them paying the tariff. The higher percentage of tariffs that the United States imposes on other countries will be reflected in the cost of their products, which increases the price of the supplies we receive from them. In this way, they lose nothing. The only ones that would be losing are us because, in the end, we will be paying to cover their taxes. Not only that, but imposing a tariff on aluminum also means that any product containing aluminum will have its price increased, such as beverages or items that use aluminum cans or jars. The tariff on aluminum applies to the aluminum itself and to any product that contains aluminum, such as canned beverages, soups, canned food, and similar items. As a result, we will see many of these products with higher prices now. Not only that, but many vehicles are also made from aluminum, which means their prices will likely increase as well. So, now don’t be so quick to support President Trump’s decision to impose tariffs on various countries for their exports, because we will be the ones who ultimately pay for them. Also, if other countries impose tariffs on us, we will likely impose tariffs on them, which means we will have to spend even more money on goods due to the tariff war that President Trump is causing.
In simpler terms, the higher the percentage we impose on the tariff, the higher the prices we will have to pay for the goods. Goods include food, clothing, vehicles, medicines, housing, and other essential items. The tariff has adverse ripple effects, primarily on stocks, which is why we are seeing the stock market crash now, and it continues to decline more each day.

As always, if there’s a topic you’d like me to write about or if you have something or information you think I should investigate and write about, please let me know by contacting me or messaging me on JoshiesWorld’s social media, such as Facebook. There will be more articles and reviews coming soon, as I now have some time available. Typically, I am least busy during Spring and Summer. Why summer? Since I’m not a fan of the heat, I don’t get out often in the summer, so I’m more outgoing in the fall and winter. Thank you so much for your continued support of JoshiesWorld.
