I have unfortunate news for everyone in Belfry, KY; Williamson, WV; and the surrounding area: we didn’t want to expect it, but we did. One of the stores we liked going to for many years is closing because it always had good deals on the products it sold. The store I am talking about is Save-A-Lot in South Williamson, KY. More than three employees at Save-A-Lot, whom I will not name, shared with us that the store is on its way to closing and that it would be lucky to make it to September. The employees there said that Save-A-Lot no longer restocks and will continue to sell whatever it has left until it closes. A few employees at Save-A-Lot have said they are already looking for a new job or have found one ahead of time before Save-A-Lot closes. While it’s well known that competitors such as Walmart and the rebuilt Food City hurt Save-A-Lot badly, what put the nail in its coffin was the refusal to fix the bridge you would drive across to get to Save-A-Lot. That bridge was destroyed a few years ago, and the property owner refused to allow anyone to repair it, which hit Save-A-Lot hard in the long run and now results in its closure. This confluence of challenges, especially the prolonged bridge…
I know it is about time that I finally decided to write a new snippets article after a very long time, and I apologize. This year has been hectic for me, including a thing that is a very good thing that happened in my life before that I had a bit of time for articles writing or writing some reviews. Still, since that happened, I shifted all the time I have and more on that good thing that happened this year for me because it is the most important thing for me over writing articles, writing reviews, or anything that has to do with the internet such as social media or whatnot. I am sure I will share what I am talking about in one of the topics below. Still, I think it is because I have not written a snippets article in a very long time, it might be a bit long and has several topics, but at least there is plenty of reading for you to do! As always, here are the topics included in this snippet’s article. To see the list of the topics, you can do so by clicking the “expand topics list” below to open up the list of topics included in this snippets article. This also will be helpful for anyone who does not…
It was almost expected that this pizza restaurant would not be very good. The only reason this deserves one and a half stars is that the staff are friendly, but the pizza, along with their other food, is the problem. The pizza they create has very tough, rubber-like, dried cheese with a cardboard-tasting crust. Their food doesn’t taste fresh, as if the sauce is canned and the sausage is frozen pepperoni slices you can buy at Walmart or other grocery stores. On my conscience, I can never recommend their food to anyone, locally or nationally. If anyone is looking for a pizza they can enjoy, there are two that are 10 times better: Pizza Hut and Little Caesars.
