11-7-2016 Tidbits

I am sorry that I have been MIA (Missing In Action) in the blogosphere for about a week, I know that is not the usual and that isn’t the unusual either as if you have noticed lately before this week I have started to become more active as a blogger for the last few months but then in the beginning of this week immediately put me on break due to a few reasons but the main reason I immediately was dropped out of blogging radar is because of the family matter which I will share on that with you in a few minutes here. I wrote the article in the beginning of the week saying that I will be taking a break from blogging for a while which you can find that article by looking for the article before this article and I said that I would have no idea when I would be done with taking a break, that is until I feel comfortable enough to get back in doing what I am passionate in. So this is to say that I am back, at least for now but I am not sure about being more active that I have been the least few months because I am not exactly all the way ready to be back yet as…

Pike County, Ky is NOT Deaf Friendly

For the Deaf community, we are starting to see some of the places all over here in the United States who finally been educated and is aware of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people to the point that they started renovating counties or cities themselves to make sure that they are accessible for everybody equally regardless their backgrounds. For several decades, by now almost everywhere in the United States is now accessible for the people who is wheelchair-bound and for the people who is senior citizens but never make the places to be accessible for the people who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Even though Deaf community have been around here for centuries, yet the officials in the counties or cities were aware of the people who is in wheelchair-bounds and senior citizens so they added a section in the Americans with Disabilities Act law that most of the buildings whether it be business, private, public or residential must build an accessible for the people who is in wheelchairs by building ramps along with making it easier for senior citizens to get access to the buildings without having to climb up the stairs. A few decades ago a lot of people looks at them as a disability, respects them and look at them almost equally although I am…

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin

In the year of 2015, which is last year when there were a governor race here in the state of Kentucky between a Republican Matt Bevin and a Democrat Jack Conway. That was probably the most strangest thing I have ever seen in my life for the state of Kentucky, my home state which is a state that I take pride in until last year and that left the sour taste in my mouth over what had happened here in the Kentucky. First of all, Steve Beshear’s terms were up as a governor of Kentucky and he is probably will go down as one of the best governors for the state of Kentucky. The successes here in the state Kentucky is credited to former Kentucky governor Steve Beshear, man he sure could shape the state of Kentucky and raised the state of Kentucky above the bar! I was sad and I am sure that a lot of Kentuckians were sad to see that Steve Beshear’s were no longer able to run another term as a governor as the terms for the state can only be two terms for each four years. While it was unfortunately that Steve Beshear who were a democrat governor for the state of Kentucky could no longer be a Governor of Kentucky due to limited terms…

US Army Helicopter Harvested Marijuana

Two days ago on Thursday my mother were swimming in her new swimming pool with a deck that my step father and his father built out back the house as the heatwaves hits here which the weather service have warned us that we would have a 5-days heatwaves. The weather service were somewhat correct as today is the third day of the 5-days heatwaves, two days ago were very hot but today is hotter as the weather said that it’s a record-setting in temperature today since the year of 2013 as the temperature for today is 97 so it’s bothersome hot but back to the subject, on Thursday two days ago when my mother were swimming and she immediately saw a militarized helicopters making a flyby over here as they did so multiply times so she texted me saying “action” with a picture of the militarized helicopter that she took with her iPhone 6S plus which I will post below. Saw that there were something hanging below the helicopter, she said that it was two men swinging with the rope below the helicopter so we assumed that it was either a rescue mission or a training mission and we both were wrong about that because it wasn’t even close to that. We were not the only ones who saw the…

Eastern Kentucky by New York Times.

Last year on June 26, 2014 New York Times have written an article with the title that says “What’s the Matter With Eastern Kentucky?” has been discovered by some Facebook users which I am a bit surprised because of the article was written over a year ago and it shows that not many residents in Eastern Kentucky reads New York Times as New York Times is in the top 10 most popular news media outlet especially with their New York Times blog since millions of people have gone digital as opposed to buying the materials which are the newspaper or magazines paperback. Ever since some Facebook users who happens to be Eastern Kentucky residents who discovered the “What’s the Matter With Eastern Kentucky?” article on New York Times website (NYTimes.com) then shared the article to their Facebook wall post which ended up getting more attention than it did last year as there were no Eastern Kentucky residents at that time shared the article on the day they wrote it and ever since it was shared it bring in mixed responses especially in the comments section over at Facebook about “What’s the Matter With Eastern Kentucky?” article written by one of New York Times writer/blogger. As surprised I was with it being discovered by some residents from Eastern Kentucky, I was…

Snowstorm Jonas in Pike Co, Ky.

There were the warnings going off the hook on Thursday evening in the surroundings of Belfry areas in Pike County in the center of east in the state of Kentucky in United States that were telling everyone who resides in these areas in the Pike County, Ky to be prepared for a huge snowstorm that was coming over from in the morning on Friday to this evening on Saturday and that we would be getting the range in 15 inches to 20 inches of snow as the weather services says so of course this caused a panic to many people to where that they had to make a trip to the grocery store to buy some essentials including foods to be prepared for the snowstorm which they named it the Winter Snowstorm Jonas. In the warnings it said that we would be getting hit with around 30 mile per hours of gust/wind along with heavy snow and that it would very likely to cause power outage which that caused the power provider AEP Kentucky Power to call in additional crewmen for emergency assistance which comes from all over such as the state of Indiana, state of South Carolina, state of Michigan and others to standby for when we have power outage that would be affected from the snowstorm Jonas. As…

SuddenLink improved much needed.

SuddenLink communication is the provider for internet and TV cable that I am member of for several years. Last year our power were very prone to outrage even that they would go out on a sunny day, while power outrage we still have the TV cable and internet working smoothly because I own a power generator that powered some of important electronics such as computer, TV, heater and fridge to keep the meats frozen from going rotten. But this year is a total different since, thankfully to KY power (AEP – I believe?) improved our power drastically and our power isn’t prone to outrage anymore and it can withstand heavy storms this year that we had gotten so far which is quite pleasing especially the power is a bit more important than internet and TV cable but at times we do need internet for a reason and that’s business especially my own and as well for some of my devices to work properly as they require WI-FI. For past few of hard snow storms, we still have power and it wouldn’t even dim or flinch as it would usually last year which I am extremely pleased with the improvement that Kentucky Power did to improve our power lines to withstand anything that comes in the way such as blizzard, ice…
