Happy Juneteenth National Independence Day, one of the most important days in the history of the United States of America. If you wonder what Juneteenth is about, it’s a day on June 19, 1865, when freedom began for the Black community as the United States of America ended slavery. Even though President Abraham Lincoln ordered the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863 to end the slavery of African-Americans, not everyone agreed with that or did not get the order until later due to slow delivery and on that day June 19th, 1865, the United States Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in the state of Texas at the end of American civil war. On June 19, 1865, the black community was freed in every state. Even though slavery ended, there were some people, including some politicians, who tried to find every way to restrict their freedoms, such as Jim Crow laws, which segregated colored people from having the same access to things that white people had. Such as segregation in education, public services, businesses, restaurants, and others. Although it was signed into law by President Lyndon B. For the Deaf community, we are starting to see some of the places all over here in the United States who finally been educated and is aware of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people to the point that they started renovating counties or cities themselves to make sure that they are accessible for everybody equally regardless their backgrounds. For several decades, by now almost everywhere in the United States is now accessible for the people who is wheelchair-bound and for the people who is senior citizens but never make the places to be accessible for the people who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Even though Deaf community have been around here for centuries, yet the officials in the counties or cities were aware of the people who is in wheelchair-bounds and senior citizens so they added a section in the Americans with Disabilities Act law that most of the buildings whether it be business, private, public or residential must build an accessible for the people who is in wheelchairs by building ramps along with making it easier for senior citizens to get access to the buildings without having to climb up the stairs. The system created by the federal, governments and some of rich people never suits the Deaf individuals for several decades as the system were created for some of the people here in the United States to help some elite groups such as the individuals who does not care for anyone else but themselves while taking the pocketful of money from that system without leaving anything over for the rest of other groups to take through jobs. That is mostly the reason that the system is very harsh to where that it doesn’t allow any groups like Deaf community, Seniors Citizens or other disabilities to be able to find any opportunity such as a job that is suits for them with a skill of whatever it is they are good at. The system that is created by some elite groups made it very hard for any individuals who happens to be Deaf, Senior Citizen or others to have a chance at being able to be accepted to work for a large corporation, governments level or federal level so in many people’s views that just because we have one or more disabilities or that we are at old age means we are unable to work but in reality is by their views of us is what they made us out to be.…
For several months I have begun to support an association or organization who represents Deaf and Hard of Hearing people nationally here in the united states until recently as I have realized something going with the association that sickens me especially to think that for few months I was supporting something that I thought who truly represents the Deaf community. That organization I am speaking of is National Association of the Deaf (NAD) who is an alliance of the Deaf community, who is responsible to advocate for the Deaf community when it comes to oppression, discrimination or any of unlawful actions by somebody and they are supposedly to be in the front of the battle making sure that the Deaf individuals have equality since National Association of the Deaf (NAD) founded in 1880 to take activism action in Milan against an organization named International Congress on the Education of the Deaf or ICED for short when International Congress on the Education of the Deaf (ICED) discouraged the use of American Sign Language in the education of the Deaf which is the natural language for the Deaf individuals. By discouraging the use of American Sign Language for the Deaf students by forcing the Deaf students in education to not use their natural language of American Sign Language, if they are caught…
Hello everyone! I hope that every one of you had awesome time with the fourth of the July or Independence Day whichever one that some of you prefer to call it, on a such holiday like this everyone usually celebrate it by grilling out some awesome foods such as steak, hamburger, hotdog, chilli, corn and among of others with their family or the friends to eat with to celebrate the fourth of July or Independence Day. I enjoyed it myself a bit as we had grilled some hamburgers, hotdogs and bacon wrapped hotdogs for our fourth of July dinner which it was fantastic especially the hotdog wrapped with bacon because I have never ate them before in my life which is a bit surprising to me but now since that I have tried them I think I am going to want some of them more often every time we do some grilling outside. For the hotdog wrapped with the bacon being cooked on the grill I told my mother that it tastes like the hotdog with a bit more crispy and have a bit more of smoke flavor to it than just the hotdog itself especially that we grill our foods with the charcoal lately ever since we bought the charcoal grill because we were somewhat tired of grilling some…
