I see that a lot of people in my circle, this including both hearie community and deaf community are very concerned about Federal Communications Commission’s decision on repealing Net Neutrality. I am very glad that a lot of concerns going around because Net Neutrality is a serious matter for many of us, however I also seen many people who are either confused or misleading some others about what Net Neutrality is all about and what impact that it can do if Net Neutrality were to be repealed. First, Net Neutrality is not a law as some people seems to think they are and Net Neutrality is a policy made by Federal Communications Commission which is a federal agency that were founded by government to be the policymakers for the telecommunications. Federal government has several agencies to regulate some things, such as Federal Communications Commission were created by government to regulate television cable, radio, internet, wire, satellite and anything else that has to do with airwaves through the likes of satellites in space as they are what allows us to connect to some things through the airwaves such as internet (including cellular data), radio, television cable or others. The other day I was somewhat having a conversation with James who is a friend of mine about some internet browsers, ever since Google have created their own internet browser calls Chrome and Google Chrome immediately became a favorite internet browser for many people as Google’s internet browser Chrome is available for most platforms or operating systems such as Windows, Mac, IOS and obviously android since the android operating system created by Google too which is seen on many of today’s smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy or their Note. Chrome internet browser is also on Google’s operating system for desktop or laptop called Chrome too which is a clouding computer but their Chrome operating system computers doesn’t impressed me any and while I do have some respect for Google’s internet browser Chrome as I have used it sometimes but it’s just not my preference although I will say that Google’s internet browser Chrome does have impressive technical behind the Chrome internet browser itself. In every nations the internet is very important to everyone’s life obviously as there are many reasons for it, without the internet we had to rely on the phone and television especially for keeping up with what is going on in this world and to keep in touch with everybody such as our family and friends or our friends from the schools that we went and graduated with. I was born before the internet came into the world, before the internet I was very limited in social skills and when I want to learn about something I would have to read on the books to learn and most of the books that I was reading to learn about something is often outdated so having the internet gives you a way to be updated with everyday news and gives you the unlimited resources to learn from. So the question would we be better without internet or with the internet? I would say both but the problem is that we are too hooked into the internet which is fine but you would need some time to breathe and be updated with things outside the internet too.
