As of late, I have been paying a large number of dollars for a drastic improvement by a complete redesign back in January, a move from a small, unknown hosting provider to a large server company at the end of February, and then paid even more for speed and bandwidth to make it go from an average 2-3 seconds loading speed to 200-800ms. That’s not all; I also had to pay for a bunch of backend tools, such as a drastic security upgrade for all the websites, including JoshiesWorld.com, and cover all the essentials to ensure they run smoothly without any loss. This is the most drastic improvement I have made to JoshiesWorld.com. Just last week, I hired a professional designer to rework my logo, which is in the revision process and awaiting my approval, so it should be ready within a week if all goes well. My focus is on making it smoother, faster, safer, and easier to use. Next is marketing. I also have another project I am planning to work on.
For the growth, it’s all you guys/ladies, and it wouldn’t be what it is without you guys/ladies. Ever since 2007, my passion has been sparked amid a time when the blogosphere was booming, and I jumped in. Ever since then, I have been passionate about journalism. I have been a bit less active than before, but I am working on changing that. I need support, just any amount of dollars would be greatly appreciated because of how much I have been spending. I haven’t reached that finish line yet, as all of a sudden I am at a stop because funding is so strained, so I am waiting until the next few paychecks before I can jump back in to continue improving, adding more features, getting some marketing, starting merchandising (hopefully), and whatnot. I say I am at about 70% completion on the goals I set (not including the new project I am thinking of working on), and with funds running out, I am halting until I get some funding back up before I can continue.
