Hello everyone! I know I have not written a snippets article in a great while, and I would like to apologize for that. I have been swamped lately, especially with everything that has been going on this year, as this year of 2020 has been so awful to me, which I will share about that in one of the topics below. Of course, this might be a bit different for some of you especially that I don’t write a lot of articles to celebrate something but this is my mom and it’s her birthday so of course, I am going to wish my mother nothing but very happy birthday! I am not going to mention the age because this is public and besides I don’t think it’s anyone’s business. This is just a very small post for you all to read because this is more on a personal level than I normally write. For many years, I have been looking for pictures of myself when I was young, especially my accomplishments and whatnot. I do know that I was the first student to demonstrate a new computer with disc compact (CD) for Pike County schools in Kentucky; that is the newspaper that I am still in search of, but I have found an old VHS which I am working on figuring out how to transfer the VHS digitally. If so, I will show it around here or on social media. While we were going through old things such as pictures, VHS tapes, and whatnot, I finally found some newspapers with me in them. It was the talk of Pike County, Ky, because I was a student who happened to be Deaf student who was paving the way to get new computers for the students at my school when I was just five years old. During my time in grade school, I was five years old or around that age; when anyone thinks of someone who is a computer whiz, I would be it, and being Deaf is what made me so, which is something I am very thankful for.…
As lately, I have been paying a large number of dollars making a drastic improvement by a complete redesign back in January, a move from an small unknown hosting provider to a large server company at the end of February and then paid even for more speed and bandwidth to make it goes from average 2-3 seconds loading speed to 200-800ms. That’s not all, I also had to pay a bunch of backend tools such as a drastic security improvement for all of the websites including JoshiesWorld.com and then paid all the essentials to make sure that all the websites to runs smoothly without any loss. This is the most drastic improvement that I have done for JoshiesWorld.com but some for the rest of others such as JoshuaBSullivan.com and AppalachianCrawlers.com but my priority were all JoshiesWorld.com. Just last week I have hired a professional designer to rework my logo, which is in progress of revisions and waiting for my approval so it should be ready within’ a week if all is well. There are only a few people, more so students at that time have witnessed this including my best friend Robert Wolfe and among few of others that were close to us know about what had happened in the lunch room in 2005 at Belfry High School. One day in early afternoon at Belfry High School, I was a senior student, one of two Deaf students who attended a public school but before that during my freshman year and sophomore year I was the only Deaf student that attended Belfry High School then when I go back to school after summer a Deaf girl named Cameo were transferred to Belfry High School as a sophomore from Ohio while I became a junior. As one of two Deaf student, it was a bit tough especially trying to mingle with the crowd, but I was fortunate to have a few friends who learned to be fluent in American Sign Language since a few of us became friends from the freshman year. As you all know, my skin is white so obviously I am white and I do acknowledge that I have that privilege whether I want it or not as it’s a given based on my ethnicity so the only as far I can do is to say that I do also recognize that the United States and many of other countries have a huge problem with racism even to this day. The black people suffers oppression everyday by the very same color that I have on my skin which is something that I am very ashamed of, even though I do everything I can do to support black people through activism and to pass their voices on around in hope that I can or at least hope that we can bring more awareness of what is going on in this world on racism issues. Joshie is back, blogging again and not only just that but also has redesigned the website! I know I haven’t properly written a blog post in a very long time, for many reasons that I rather keep it private, along with the holidays which usually when the people get busy especially during the Christmas time to shop for the presents and getting ready for the New Year Eve or New Year. For several months I have been struggling to find some free time to blog, not just blog but also to maintain several other websites and try to keep up with a few projects that I have going so it has been a hectic time for me lately, so I barely have any time for anything.
