Here we are again, by now I have no idea how many tidbits articles I have written as I have lost the counts although I do know that I have written more than ten tidbits by now and that is a decent numbers for tidbits articles considering that I have started writing the tidbits late in last year. Maybe if you look at the number, ten that it seems a very small number and somewhat it is but it is pretty a lot to me because I have written over three hundred articles on here. If I am to combine my other blogs or on a few local news media I have written over a thousand articles and that is exhausting. When it comes to blogging or write a piece, it somewhat mess with your head a bit because it tends to exhaust your thinking and gives you a bit of headache because for any bloggers who is passionate in blogging does more than just writing whatever that comes to their mind. Every day I have to keep up with news, check with some of the people everyday and the likes then do a research to make sure that whatever I am to share my opinion on certain topics is valid because I don’t want to not knowing the depth…
This world is, undoubtedly a cruel world for all of us to be living in and who is to blame for making this world a cruel place to be in? There are a lot of the people who happens to be cruel, making the world cruel for us to live in and by making the world cruel for us is where some of the people gets to discriminate us regardless what we have. There are several people who happens to be “ism” is the ones who make the world cruel for us to live in, there are several words with “ism” such as sexism, audism, racism, elitism, ableism and hundreds more. What makes them that way? They are either influenced by their generations who happens to be one of these ism or being influenced by the peers that they were surrounded at their youth age and grew to be expert at being one or more of ism. It make you sometimes wondering what if there were no isms, wouldn’t it make any difference in how some of the people behave in this world and possibly make the world a better place for us without being feared of having to be victimized by one or more isms? I am sure that many people’s answer would be that they don’t know, but…
I know that lately I have written a few articles that is Deaf and Hard of Hearing related but the reason is the Deaf Awareness Month were to due in the month September which is the current month now. The purpose for Deaf Awareness Month in September is to educate the people about the culture of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, people who is audism are trying so hard to destroy for several decades now. Even though the Deaf community may be a little but it has a strength in holding their place when it comes to anyone that is trying all their best to make sure everybody is not aware that the Deaf and Hard of Hearing has their culture as they want to frame them with the label disability. As I am part in the Deaf community, the battles with audism daily is tiresome and frustrating because one of many reasons is that we never gave the permission to anybody to make any decision for us especially on state or nation’s level. So many of the people thinks that anyone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing means that there is something wrong with them, hence the label disability but what they don’t realize it is not disability when it is a culture and there is some…
Either that in the today’s film industry discriminate Deaf and Hard of Hearing, are audism which that means they have something against them, simply doesn’t care or plainly dumb. If you are someone who loves watching television shows or movies daily, there are some of the people who must have music, must play games as much as they can and then there are people who must watch television shows or movies everyday. I am one of these who must watch television shows or movies daily group, so of course we are bound to watch some television shows or movies that have one or more Deaf or Hard of Hearing characters and that same goes for the people who is in wheelchair too. But what a lot of people doesn’t realize is that these roles were given to the actor or actress that aren’t what the role of characters is such as Deaf, Hard of Hearing or in wheelchair and that is a problem. It is getting tiresome, the reason that is a problem is because it is conflict with the character’s role who isn’t even what the character’s role has and they have no right to do so. Unfortunately, some productions in films or television shows are either too dumb, discriminating them or have something against them. What they do…
You would think that law enforcement is hard on the colored people of color, abuses their power against them, and commits police brutality against them, but what many people do not realize is that they are not the only ones. Law Enforcement gives Deaf and Hard of Hearing people a very hard time, as there are several stories about their experiences when they had a confrontation with the police. One of several experiences, there was a Deaf woman who called police for immediate help because her boyfriend or husband was beating her, so once the police arrived at their residence. The Deaf woman was approached by the police, who were supposed to explain the situation about her husband or her boyfriend beating her to a pulp. Still, instead the police never took the time to hear her explanation, so they tasered her, then body slams her to the ground with their knees on the back of her body, and cuffed her, then booked her to jail while the husband or boyfriend who can hear was scoot-free. So imagine the horror as if you were in her shoes, the police never even questioned that man or even let the woman tell them what was going on or the reason for their call to the police station, so they immediately arrested a…
I am sure that you are shocked with the title of this article, saying that we want to be Deaf and that we don’t want to be fixed. What a lot of the people doesn’t understand that being Deaf or even Hard of Hearing is a culture but several people who is audism try their darndest best to hide that and force a society to see anyone who happens to be Deaf or Hard of Hearing is a bad thing. Several people think that whoever became Deaf or Hard of Hearing whether it be at birth or afterbirth means that there is something severely wrong with them, it is because like people who is audism or an anti-cultural organizations such as Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing made the society to view us like that over a few decades ago or more like since in the year of 1880 when International Congress on the Education of the Deaf aka ICED banned any students who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing from the use of sign language to communicate. Thankfully National Association of the Deaf aka NAD was founded to protest against it and fought so hard to get the law or policy in education to allow any students or anyone who happens to be Deaf…
