The Kentucky and West Virginia Floods of 2025

On February 15th, 2025, just a day after Valentine’s Day, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia were devastated by floods that almost broke the record for the great floods in 1977 for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia. The Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia weren’t the only two states devastated by the floods on February 15th, 2025. Tennessee was hit, too, but not as badly as the Commonwealth of Kentucky and West Virginia. On February 15th, 2025, two counties devastated by the flooding were Pike County, Kentucky, and Mingo County, West Virginia. These two counties are located in eastern Kentucky (the largest county in Kentucky) and southwestern West Virginia. These two neighboring counties are on the border between Kentucky and West Virginia. The cities/towns in these two neighboring counties in two different states that were devastated by the flooding on February 15th, 2025, are Pikeville, Coal Run, Hardy, Blackberry, Sidney, Dix Fork, Stone, Belfry, South Williamson, Turkey Creek, and others for Pike County, Ky, and Williamson, West end Williamson, East end Williamson, Delbarton, Matewan, Red Jacket, Gilbert, Logan, and others. I am sure many of you are familiar with them because they are very popular and known for the Hatfield-McCoy family feud, and now the best places for ATV/Side by Side/Dirt Bike riders where they are legal…

While every one here in few of counties such as Pike County, Martin County, Johnson County, Perry County among other few more that is in both states of Kentucky and West Virginia enjoying their days regardless what they were doing while at same time not expecting something that would be something bad on the way to these counties that would literally turn everyone that lives around these areas life up downside rather quickly. As the light in the sky in the day becoming darker as it was turning the day into the night, there were something that was brewing something very trouble that was sneaking upon us without us realizing so until it was getting closer to midnight so the night has been set for everyone and out of no where the mother nature smacked us so hard that our heads spun so fast that by the time our heads had stopped spinning we realized that our properties that has houses, vehicles, animals and many of others that…

Wintry Storm in Kentucky.

The wintry storm has hit in Kentucky specifically Pike county like it has never happened before in decades. I live in that county in Kentucky which is one of the counties that got hit the most, here we got hit so bad that we had to declare state emergency in level 3 and several of residents has lost power and some damages however luckily I live in the mountain that the power lines are under several trees which makes it harder for the outrage however only damage I had gotten was the internet and TV and I would rather that than losing any power because the power is more important than those especially for the heater to keep us all warm throughout the wintry storm. This all had happened on Sunday night all through until Monday night, we had nonstop of it. We had a report that we would have 6-8 of ice and 4-6 of snows covering the layers of ice and in the morning on Monday the street in front of my home were nothing but ice with snows covering them and several vehicles has driven through them that had left no marks, because usually when there are some inches of snows and cars drives over them it would leave two lines marks from the both sides of…
