iHealth Thermometer PT3

For many years we went through several thermometers, all of them required to be contacted for them to work, and this means that every person uses them builds layer by layer of germs on them. The advanced technology of a thermometer we have is a temporal thermometer, which we relied on for many years to check for our temperature to ensure that we don’t have a fever. Because as we know that fever is a symptom of many things that includes FLU, but now that there is more important that we check our temperature to make sure that we don’t have a fever because now having a fever could now mean that we may have been exposed to COVID-19. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the thermometer has become the primary medical tool that can be seen everywhere such as a store, doctor’s office, hospital, restaurants, and other businesses because if our temperature is high to a fever degree (100.4 or higher), they will prevent us from entry. When COVID-19 became the pandemic at the beginning of 2020, many things have been sold out, including the thermometers. Besides masks and hand sanitizers, the thermometers are a must. Many states and locals would require them to be checked if they want to enter a place anywhere that isn’t theirs.

The problem is, we know that how can we be exposed to COVID-19 is through body fluids, including respiratory fluids. This means a mouth thermometer, Armpit thermometer, temporal thermometer, and any other thermometers that have to be contacted anywhere on a body to get a reading is out of the question, especially if it is to be used for more than one person. This is where the contactless, touchless, or non-touch thermometers become more popular and more needed than any other thermometers because all it takes is an inch or so from the thermometer to your head for it to read your temperature. That means no fluid gets on the thermometer unless they accidentally touch someone’s head, and it is safer to take more than one person’s temperature.

I have been searching for one of these thermometers for our house to keep me, my mother, and my step-father’s temperature checks to ensure that all of us are good. I also need one within my mind that I would use on anyone who is planning on visiting here, and I ask anyone who plans to visit here that it would be an emergency or necessary; otherwise, they are not welcomed. As I said above, since the beginning of the pandemic, many things were sold out, so it was almost no possibility in finding any or most of them in stock anywhere online or anywhere in physical stores. I had to wait it out for a few months, as a few days ago, I decided to check-in online to see if they finally have any of them in stock, and I decided to look for one on Amazon. There were many of them in stock, to my delight, and I decided to buy one of them with a case for it as an add-on purchase. That thermometer I brought is called iHealth Thermometer PT3, and that is what I am now reviewing.

What iHealth Thermometer PT3 caught my attention the most out of all other thermometers on Amazon is that I researched some of the infrared thermometer, another word for non-contact or touchless. After I did depth research on some thermometers, one particular thermometer consistently ranked in the top three of many reviewer’s lists, and that is iHealth Thermometer PT3. What is the biggest deal about the iHealth Thermometer PT3 is the accuracy; it is crucial that we can get an accurate reading, especially that we are in the middle of a pandemic, so if we were to find out that we do have a fever and it wouldn’t be good that it is not accurate otherwise we would waste our worries over it. iHealth has a few thermometers, PT3 is the latest generation as they have earlier ones such as PT2 or PT1, which is more of a temporal thermometer, but the PT3 is a non-contact one. Now, speaking of the accuracy, iHealth Thermometer PT3 has three sensors while many others only have one sensor for reading, and iHealth Thermometer PT3 can read fast. iHealth Thermometer PT3 has tri-point sensors; one is an ultra-sensitive infrared sensor that collects more than 100 data points per second, the second is the distance, and the third is an environmental sensor to combine all of the variables, including your temperature along with the room’s temperature that you are in to give you the accurate reading of your forehead’s temperature. The temperature reading is a backlit LED screen with a large bright white telling you your temperature. This iHealth Thermometer PT3 is minimalist at best because all it takes is one button to take your temperature, and it will automatically turn off after a few seconds. You can only do with that one button to take a reading of your temperature and change the C or F degrees option by holding it for a few seconds or just a quick press to take your temperature. This iHealth Thermometer PT3 has no sound, which is why I call it the most Deaf-friendly thermometer out there because when the iHealth Thermometer PT3 is done reading your temperature, it will quietly vibrate. So, you don’t have to worry about the annoying beeping sounds, and that is also useful if any of you have a toddler or a child that is sleeping so you can quietly take a reading of their temperature without any noise!

The iHealth Thermometer PT3 is suitable for all ages and also is suitable for multi-scenarios. Multi-scenarios means that iHealth Thermometer PT3 is an ideal choice for hospitals, hotels, schools, public, business settings, and more wherever else the thermometer is needed. It uses two triple-A batteries so that it would last a good long time with good batteries. I’d recommend rechargeable triple-A batteries so that you can recharge them instead of having to throw out old batteries and replace them with new batteries every time. iHealth Thermometer PT3 comes with two triple-A alkaline batteries, a quick start guide, and a user manual.

I love this thermometer because with this iHealth Thermometer PT3; I don’t have to worry about exposing the thermometer to COVID-19 thanks to it being infrared/non-contact and also that it would take one second to get a reading of a temperature so that I wouldn’t have to hold the thermometer to someone’s temporal for a minute or so which can be awkward sometimes. All I need to do is point the thermometer an inch or so away from someone’s forehead, and it would read within’ a second so I can quickly take a step back for my safety (social distancing). If you are going to do that, please wear a mask while you are doing that. What I also like about this is that it lets me know when it is done reading my temperature or someone’s temperature by vibration because I am Deaf so that I wouldn’t hear the beeping sound, and that is why I think that this is probably the most Deaf-friendly thermometer out there. Plus, I can read the temperature during the day, and night thanks to the backlit LED but even better for anyone who cannot see well as the reading is actually large. I highly recommend iHealth Thermometer PT3 for anyone who needs a non-contact thermometer that is most accurate and can read within’ a second after a button press! As you know, we are in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, so a thermometer is a must, and iHealth Thermometer PT3 is the perfect one to get to keep ourselves in check.

I am rating iHealth Thermometer PT3 a 4.1 which translates a bit more than great.

As I mentioned that I brought iHealth Thermometer PT3 with a case; click here for the case if you want to get a case for iHealth Thermometer PT3. If you want to see what it looks like with the iHealth Thermometer PT3, I have added a picture to the pictures gallery bottom.

Bottom Line

Due to us being in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, medical tools and equipment are more important than ever. We know that it’s masks, hand sanitizers, and social distancing, but one thing we keep forgetting. That is a thermometer to keep us in check, to see if we have a fever or not because fever is one of the main symptoms of COVID-19. You will start to see one in many business settings, in hospitals, in restaurants, and other places, which is the tool that will allow or not allow you entry. That should be the same for our house; this means that we need a thermometer to ensure that they do not show a sign of fever if anyone is visiting. Even with a thermometer, we should remind our visitors not to visit unless they are emergency or necessary. Now, again with COVID-19, so how can we avoid being exposed to COVID-19 by fluids? We know many standard thermometers would be used by mouth or foreheads, so that means we need a non-contact thermometer, and this is where iHealth Thermometer PT3 comes in. iHealth Thermometer PT3 is advertised to have great accuracy, not only themselves but many reviewers also it is one of top 3 accurate non-contact thermometers. iHealth Thermometer PT3 is consistently in many of reviewers’ top 3 thermometers (all). iHealth Thermometer PT3 has tri-point sensors that can read your forehead’s temperature with more than 100 data per second; the second is the distance, and the third is the environmental temperature. Many other thermometers only have one sensor, and that is why iHealth Thermometer PT3 has good accuracy. It can read a temperature about an inch from your forehead within’ a second; it has a backlit LCD with large bright white reading. I highly recommend iHealth Thermometer PT3 as it is suitable for multi-scenarios and also all ages. I am rating iHealth Thermometer PT3 a 4.1, which translates a bit more than great.
