Proraso Shaving Cream

I think almost every one of us has to have shaving cream for shaving, not only for a man but also for all genders or non-genders, to have a better shaving experience than outright shaving any hair on our body raw (without soap, water, or anything). Everyone has different tastes and preferences, including our shaving cream, such as which shaving cream or shaving soap is our favorite. I have been very loyal to one shaving cream brand for many years, and that brand is probably the most popular of all – Gillette. I always went for Gillette Fusion Proglide Shave Gel, they did me well, but when I think about it more, I think I picked them the most because it is that popular, and everyone goes to Gillette for their shaving stuff, including their razors. A few months ago, I decided to look more into shaving tools and other things that go with it, including shaving cream/gel/soap or different types. I have gone through several shaving supplies in a year; seriously, I did because I have gone through many unknown brands, off brands, and all other somewhat known or popular brands for my shaving stuff. After going through many of them, every brand you can think of, I am almost sure I have tried them, and now I have discovered my favorite shaving cream of all, which I am going to share what one is it!

When I say this name for a brand, half of you probably never heard of it, and the other half of you probably have already heard the brand name – Proraso. It is a small-owned business in Italy, even though its products are mainly in the Italian language. Proraso is often found in barbershops in Italy, so not everyone would know or have heard of Proraso, but now reading this, you all know. Proraso specializes in shaving and cutting products hence barbershops. Proraso Shaving Cream is the product that I am going to review here.

Proraso has many products that you can buy. Such as their original (regular) shaving cream (green), sensitive skin formula (white), Moisitizuring and Nourishing (maroon-ish), and Protective and Moisturizing (blue). Speaking of many other products, Proraso also has aftershave balms, preshave conditioning cream, post-shave stone, and more. Although they are aimed at men but honestly, I think anyone can use them and should use them for our shavings, whether it be our facial hair, armpits, legs, and others, although, for me, it is for my facial. As for me, I have tried their original one and their sensitive skin one as well. When I tried the original one, I was in awe because the cream is very smooth and leathery, which is just what shaving cream should be! The cream is somewhat thick and leathery for the original one, which is what we want our shaving cream to feel or look like, but what was unexpected was its feeling. When I put cream on my face, I started shaving my facial sides; as you know, I only support long goatees, and I was caught off guard, realizing that it has that good burn feeling to it. I immediately wondered why it did that, and I realized that the Proraso original shaving cream is menthol. No, not that intense like icy hot, but it has the cooling effect, and you can smell a slight whiff of menthol, but once you put it on your skin, you would start smelling menthol even more, which is terrific. I think. Ever since then, I have said yes! Where has this shaving cream been in my life! Because it is that good, and after I finish shaving, my skin feels intensely smooth.

After buying the Proraso shaving cream original for the first time, when I was almost out, my first thought was I must get another one of Proraso, and I didn’t even think about any other brands that I should get, such as the giant Gillette or even Harry’s. This shaving cream also protected my skin very well when I was shaving; I barely could feel the razor cutting the hair on my face although it was cutting, and that says how protective the cream was, which is a very good thing. To have good shaving cream, there are a few things that you have to look into, and that is how protective the cream is for shaving to make sure that you don’t get razor burn or nicks too often. I think that Proraso shaving cream has the best protection and the best feeling, such as that sensation thanks to menthol. Although menthol can only be found in the original, the rest of the other products from Proraso is as good as the original one, including the one for sensitive skin (white), which I have already used. From other brands I have used, I would get a handful of shaving cream in my palm and put it on my face to prepare for shaving. Still, with Proraso, I just only need maybe a size of a dime, which covers a lot already, so that also tells me that I get a lot more out of it at a slower pace than I would get from other brands such as Gilette that I have been using for pretty much since the day I started shaving which was more than two decades ago. All you need to do with this Proraso, as there are many ways such as using a brush, but for me, I squeeze out about a dime size and then put two or so drips of water and mix it within’ my palm to leather it then put it on my face or just wet my face then squeeze a size of a dime then apply it on my wet face.

I think that if you get this shaving cream, you will not want to go back to any other brands or any other brands to try because this shaving cream is outright amazing. After trying their product for the first time, it has become my favorite and my only go-to for shaving cream. I highly recommend this shaving cream; their products specialize in shaving, so it is no wonder that they are great. I highly recommend their products, especially their original Proraso shaving cream or their sensitive skin shaving cream for anyone who has sensitive skin. I think that when you try their Proraso shaving cream for the first time if you have not already, you will be wowed at the sensation of the menthol on your skin and realize that it IS THE shaving cream you want from on forward. Bravo to Proraso for making these products so remarkable! Proraso Shaving Cream original has my highest recommendation for shaving cream. I am giving Proraso Shaving Cream a 4.5 rating, which translates very great. They will become my third 4.5 rating as I rarely give any products that high rating, but Proraso deserves that rating! So, when shopping for some shaving cream, next time you are shopping, don’t look anywhere further than Proraso for your shaving cream!
