As most of us know what or who is Google that is search engine, right? Wrong! Because Google has become a company that sells products and has more products than just a search engine that it’s supposed to be and used to be but it has become a company now as they have several popular products such as Android for many of smartphones and tablets as well but not only that they have recently developed their own laptop for anyone who is a fan of Google to have which is called Chromebook or familiar which is awesome laptop by the way especially for the ones who want to use it as a work laptop but as entertainment laptop like music, movies, games and others all into one? Look somewhere else like HP which is my favorite maker of computers. Not to forget to mention that Google also has an awesome internet browser Chrome and there is many more products that Google owned and YouTube is another one as you know it’s one of the most popular website that we probably use daily for our pleasure or to monetize especially YouTube partnership which I am one of them so basically Google has become a technology company from just a search engine website which is their most popular product still. Speaking of technology that Google is inventing and developing, recently they developed a technology that takes it to next level that anybody can ever imagine and that is Google Glass and Google Glass is either sunglasses or glasses that can use prescribed lens with a machine hooked to it – think of it as a small computer if you will.
The Google Glass is still in the testing phrase and recently Google has launched one-day sale for anyone that would like to buy Google Glass instead of having to wait for your name to be called when you are on their waiting list to buy Google Glass to own it and try it out and that was few weeks ago on a Tuesday only and then closed the sale at the midnight but then few weeks later Google decided to release another day for sale so that anyone who was late or couldn’t able to afford to get them on that day was able to get them this time. I believe that Google launched another sale that’s going now if you would like to buy them which can be found at Google Glass Shop and I will admit that the Google Glass is awesome and it will take you to another level of technology to the point where everyone would get afraid of them when they see them on you but be careful wearing them in the public because there has been several news surfaced that the people in public became angry and often assault whoever wears them because they said that they felt it invades their privacy although anyone has the rights to wear it and record the video anywhere because by law you do have the right to do so but not only thing that Google Glass can do but also gives you the ability to look inside one of your lens to read some maps, surfing on the internet and many of other things which that’s the part where I am saying – AWESOME! If you are interested in buying Google Glass then I say go for it but let me warn you that it will cost you a thousand and five hundred dollars ($1,500) to own it and it’s expensive, probably too high for what it is truly worth because there is several researches and analysts says that the cost of Google Glass is worth a lot less than the retail price for it and if you are wanting to know how much less it worth? I’ll give you my guess, a half.
Wrong! Google Glass worth less than half.
Wait, what? Worth less than a half of the retail cost for Google Glass? Absolutely it is. How come I know this, where did I get a such information that it is actually worth less than a half of the retail cost for Google Glass? Analyst and researches firms. There has been increasing numbers of news surfacing on the internet with the interviews and the results from the researchers is showing that Google Glass is worth less than the half of the retail cost and that would be to be exact $152.47 worth in components to develop the Google Glass and there is several popular news websites is confirming that especially ABCNews, CNN and among others. Surprising, no. Because in my opinion the retail price of the Google Glass made absolutely no sense to me when I find out how much it would cost to own one and when I look into the specs and the machine itself isn’t even worth that because you can make it yourself for a lot cheaper if you are tech savvy and expert. Although there has been some rumors that Google will be lowering the retail costs in the future when it starts selling widely, out of testing phrase I think. If I am the one who developed them I would charge at least $400 because then it would be fair as it would be the half of what the components to develop with but not only that, then pay the employees on the team who develops them and probably at least $50-$75 in profit directly to the company.

Even with the expensive price tag would I ever interested in paying for one? Possibly but I will and I am waiting for the retail price to go down, drastically before I buy it, but there is some of big companies who is interested in developing eyewear to compete with Google Glass such as Samsung. There is a report that is saying Samsung is developing a eyewear and bring them on the sale floor in September calls Samsung Galaxy Gear Glass with Tizen operating system (OS) to stab at Google Glass, so it’s going to be interesting to compare each others once it’s out and with Samsung bringing out their own smart eyewear will probably helps Google to lower their price so to outsell their competitor as that is a common in many businesses today.
To clarify with Google Glass, Google Glass is not just a sunglasses or prescribed glasses because it is sort of like a computer but wearing it as a eyewear and on Google Glass you can see the display in one of your eye through one of the lens and there is several apps that you can install onto your Google Glass so in a way it is smart eyewear but like I said that it’s a whole another level in technology! It has camera and the monitor from inside where you will looking at different kinds of the apps to choose which can be done by using your voice to select the app you want to use and using the map you can see where it’s telling you to go inside your eye and more which is interesting and Google has said that there will be different sections of Google Glass you can choose to buy such as Explorer and couple of others and you can choose different styles along with accessories such as sunglasses lens and few of others. You can use Google Glass for anything such as recording videos, operating a surgery (doctors uses them), getting directions, taking pictures, and many more. If you would like to buy it then go for it but if I were you, I’d wait until they lower the price though especially after finding out what it is worth.
