I want to take the time to publish a public letter to address what Charlie Kirk said on his show, The Charlie Kirk Show, on Real America’s Voice channel. He said that having American Sign Language interpreters on television is a distraction, which has caused many Republicans and Trump supporters to be negative about it. Before I start, I will share a video and a screenshot of an example of what Charlie Kirk caused a ramification. Everyone is entitled to their opinions; however, sometimes there are right and wrong opinions. Unfortunately, Charlie Kirk’s opinion is very wrong, while at the same time giving the Republicans, Trump supporters, and others the ammo to be offensive about it, which is oppressive. I have shown an example in the screenshot that I posted above of someone like Christopher F. Rufo, Miranda Devine, Tony Martin, and others speaking negatively about a real language (read about American Sign Language is a real language) that the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community use as their primary/native language, which is American Sign Language. The NFL should also read this to influence any broadcasters to agree to allow airtime for Deaf translators when they auction the license for a network to broadcast their future Superbowl. The evening on February 13 was an exciting time and day for the Americans because they were the host of the NFL’s Superbowl LVI (56) game for the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals. While it was indeed an exciting time for America and the world, it was utterly disappointing to a group that has over 430 million population worldwide – the Deaf community. It was utterly disappointing because NBC, NBC Sports, and Peacock under Comcast (parent company) did not take the opportunity to be inclusive by making sure that American Sign Language interpreters for National Anthem with Sandra Mae Frank and halftime with Warren “WaWa” Snipe and Sean Forbes to share the airtime with other singers. Every Superbowl would only air a very brief, a few seconds of a person translating the National Anthem in American Sign Language, and I think that is not fair. I know that I haven’t written an article for about twenty-four days and I am very sorry about that. Not entirely my fault though, I had planned on to blog last week but then my new gaming computer broke saying that it couldn’t detect any bootable to boot and for some reason there was a defective in my SSD drive so I had to ship the computer to one of the company’s repair shop to have it repaired. This wasn’t the first time that my new computer, since I had got it for Christmas by my mother, messed up because few months ago in May I believe it messed up because there were some pins where the processor card lays at were bent and had to send it off for a repair but ends up getting a replacement with better processor card along with better cooling system for the computer so it’s some free upgrades which I was happy with that. After they shipped the replacement one, I had only used it for a bit over two months and then it messed up because the SSD (solid-slated drive) were defected as I was notified that there was an update for Windows 10 so I had it updated then it brought a screen says something about not finding bootable or whatever…
There are going to be a few of topics that I would like to share my opinions, my thoughts and along with some of the things that few of you may not know. As for some of you who checks my blog daily knows by now that the tidbits article intend to be a long reading article but if some of you are new or have just started reading my blog, by definition for the word “tidbits” says; a choice or pleasing bit of anything, as news or gossip. So you should get the picture, that it means there will be a few or many topics and not just one topic for an article and tidbits article are usually more entertaining or interesting to read instead of an article about one topic so to give you something more to read.
