Super Bowl LVIII Halftime fiasco with NAD, ASL performers, and others

I know that this article comes very late (about two months), but between having a hectic schedule, dealing with other businesses, and taking the time to think more about this issue, here I am. With that said, I am taking my time slowly and writing as my thoughts process, but it’s important that even though it is very late, this conversation should continue because it is problematic. It is a mess. Now that the NFL Super Bowl LVIII (Super Bowl 58) is over, the teams that played in it were the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. Kansas City Chiefs was seed three, and San Francisco 49ers was seed 1. This Super Bowl LVIII between the Chiefs and 49ers was perceived to be a rematch because both of them made it to the Super Bowl (Super Bowl LIV) back in 2020, facing each other, and this Super Bowl (Super Bowl LVIII), they faced each other again. In the Super Bowl LIV in 2020, the Kansas City Chiefs won with a score of 31-20 against the San Francisco 49ers, and now this year, Super Bowl LVIII Kansas City Chiefs won again against the San Francisco 49ers with a score of 25-22. This was the Kansas City Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl wins since New England Patriots with Tom Brady. This was…

A tragic day for the Deaf community

As some of you know, what happened on Wednesday, October 25th? For the past few days, after discovering what happened on that tragic day, I have been thinking over and over about what to say or how to express myself. But I have been unable to; I could not find the words because I have been left speechless or signless. Should I say something or express something about what had happened? Because if I did, it wouldn’t reverse what happened that day. What happened on that day was pure evil and hit too close to home. We are used to seeing something like that happen often everywhere. What happened on October 25th is common here in the United States, but October 25th was different. What I mean by common is that we are seeing a lot of mass shootings happening all over the United States, and that a lot of lives were taken away from them. But it was different on October 25th, 2023, because on that day, there was a mass shooting in Maine, and we thought to ourselves that it was another mass shooting that we were so used to hearing or seeing until we realized it wasn’t. On that day, there was a mass shooting in the state of Maine in Lewiston where a man named Robert…

09-04-2023 Snippets

I believe it is time for a snippets article, as I know it is somewhat overdue since the last time I wrote a snippets article was on 4-14-2023, over two months! So, I apologize about that, and I have been swamped lately with many things on my plate. I have been dealing with a lot of things; as I said, I have a ton of things that I had to deal with, and I still have so many things that I have to deal with, so I am being overwhelmed lately, not just on the businesses side, but also personally and as well mentally. Nonetheless, a snippets article is overdue, so it is time for a new one, and I have a few things (a few topics) that I would like to discuss or share with some of you! Here is the list of the topics that you will be reading for this snippets article; click/press that to open/expand the topics list, and you can click it again to close the topics list as well to get the list of the topics out of the way or that you would prefer to read the entire article instead of selecting only topics that might interest you. To read a specific topic all you have to do is click/press on the topic…

4-14-2023 Snippets

I know it is about time that I finally decided to write a new snippets article after a very long time, and I apologize. This year has been hectic for me, including a thing that is a very good thing that happened in my life before that I had a bit of time for articles writing or writing some reviews. Still, since that happened, I shifted all the time I have and more on that good thing that happened this year for me because it is the most important thing for me over writing articles, writing reviews, or anything that has to do with the internet such as social media or whatnot. I am sure I will share what I am talking about in one of the topics below. Still, I think it is because I have not written a snippets article in a very long time, it might be a bit long and has several topics, but at least there is plenty of reading for you to do! As always, here are the topics included in this snippet’s article. To see the list of the topics, you can do so by clicking the “expand topics list” below to open up the list of topics included in this snippets article. This also will be helpful for anyone who does not…

6-17-2022 Snippets

I know I have not written a snippets article for a while as the last snippets I wrote was in October 2021, so it was several months ago. Although a few reviews have been written recently, a couple of articles are more of personal letters and guest articles. There hasn’t been one published for several months for a snippets article, which I think is overdue, so here I am writing a new one! 6-17-2022 Snippets Here is the list of the topics written in this 6-17-2022 snippets article. If you prefer to just read a few of them instead of the entire snippets article, you can do that by clicking any of the topics in the list, which will take you straight to that topic you are interested in. To see the topics list for this snippets article, you can click “Show Topics List” below, and it will open/expand the list of the topics written in this snippets article. I hope you find at least a few topics that may interest you! It would be awesome if you read the entirety of this snippets article; if you could not finish it, you can never forget which topic you stopped at and come back later to read the rest of it! How have I been, and what have I been up…

Congratulation Troy Kotsur and CODA

I want to congratulate Troy Kotsur for winning the Oscar for Best Supporting actor and congratulate everyone involved in a movie named CODA for winning the Oscars for best picture and best adapted screenplay on March 27th! That wasn’t all; Troy Kotsur and CODA have won several awards before winning any awards from the Oscars. They won several SAG awards, such as outstanding performance by an actor in a supporting role in a motion picture (for Troy Kotsur), the best theatrical motion picture. They also won some BAFTA (Almost like Oscars but in British) and many more awards. Troy Kotsur became the second Deaf person to own an Oscar, he is the first Deaf male to win an oscar but the second to win the oscar, and the first Deaf person to win the oscar was none other than Marlee Matlin (along with the first Deaf female to win the Oscar). Marlee Matlin won the Oscar for her movie Children of a Lesser God back in 1987, so the gap for another Deaf actor or actress to win another one is enormous as it has been 35 years, so it was a way overdue, in my opinion. Both of them deserve the Oscars; I am a fan of both even though Marlee Matlin has me blocked on Twitter for some…

Letter To Comcast, NBC, NBC Sports, and Peacock

Here is a file of the formal letter. Text: Letter To Comcast, NBC, NBC Sports, and Peacock I am directing this letter to Comcast, NBC, NBC Sports, and Peacock. The NFL should also read this to influence any broadcasters to agree to allow airtime for Deaf translators when they auction the license for a network to broadcast their future Superbowl. The evening on February 13 was an exciting time and day for the Americans because they were the host of the NFL’s Superbowl LVI (56) game for the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals. While it was indeed an exciting time for America and the world, it was utterly disappointing to a group that has over 430 million population worldwide – the Deaf community. It was utterly disappointing because NBC, NBC Sports, and Peacock under Comcast (parent company) did not take the opportunity to be inclusive by making sure that American Sign Language interpreters for National Anthem with Sandra Mae Frank and halftime with Warren “WaWa” Snipe and Sean Forbes to share the airtime with other singers. Every Superbowl would only air a very brief, a few seconds of a person translating the National Anthem in American Sign Language, and I think that is not fair. How about disabling the entire audio during a singer(s) singing the National Anthem and…

REPOST UPON REQUEST: Raven Taylor Arrested

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CALIF – Raven Taylor (no related to this author) has been arrested by Desert Hot Springs Police yesterday (November 19, 2021). He is accused of rape by force/fear, according to the police report. His rape by force/fear charge is felony and carries the 8 years in state prison and/or $10,000 fine. My sources has notified that at Gallaudet University, several women has notified the office of Title IX about Raven’s repeated sexual misconducts but nothing was being done due to the lack of evidence and he got away with it. Raven is a graduate of Indiana School for the Deaf and Gallaudet University. He was a member of Kappa Gamma fraternity. As of November 20, 2021, he is currently employed at California School for the Deaf – Riverside as substitute teacher. It is interesting to note that Raven is the third person to be accused of sexual misconducts coming from Indiana School for the Deaf, Gallaudet University and Kappa Gamma. The first two were Brian Bippus & Colin Whited. One friend told me that she believes that, “Indiana School for the Deaf produces rapists.” It was well known among the peers that Raven boasted that Nyle DiMarco is his cousin. Cheers, R- UPDATE: The rumors out of Riverside indicated that an unconscious, single, deaf mother was gang-raped…
