Burger King Tribute To Deaf Community!

One of fast foods chain somewhere over in the district of D.C. here in the United States decided to do something special, by doing something special which means they showed their appreciate to the Deaf community by temporarily changing the looks of the fast food restaurant itself and that is the Burger King. What did they do that shows their appreciation to the Deaf community? By changing the looks of the restaurant itself temporarily with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing’s native language American Sign Language (ASL). Although by on the social media, the Deaf community is saying that it is only for one day as there is some Deaf events that are going on down there in the district of D.C. and in my opinion I believe that Burger King should keep the way they are for at least a few days or more so a week if possible because then that would truly show that Burger King does appreciate their Deaf and Hard of Hearing customers who order their foods on regular basis. Even though it may be only for one day, they still shows that they are an alliance of the Deaf community and I am almost certain that no other fast food chain restaurants will follow the Burger King’s example by doing something similar to show…

AG Bell’s Response about Nyle DiMarco.

A few days ago recently, an anti-cultural organization have written a public response to the Washington’s Post in regards to a proudly Deaf gentleman Nyle DiMarco who succeeds in the television industry such as America’s Next Top Model and now on Dancing With the Stars; Nyle DiMarco’s statements about the importance in Deaf or Hard of Hearing children to learn American Sign Language at an early age. AG Bell founded by the same person who invented your telephone, Alexander Graham Bell who founded an organization (association) calls Alexander Graham Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing but in reality it is the organization who degrades the Deaf community for many decades along with many of other things that the organization have done to the Deaf community very harshly so for that it has become the public enemy in the eyes of Deaf community. AG Bell have issued a public response to Washington Post article as it is what AG Bell do their best which is oppress or degrade anybody who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing by saying that the statement Nyle DiMarco made which is “There are many deaf kids out there being deprived of their own language” is a myth and then started off lying by implying that American Sign Language is declining. It would be better off…

Skype For Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

As of lately I have started to use the king of all video calling, instant messaging and group video calling calls Skype with a couple of my friends who happens to be Deaf which that means we communicate in our native language with each others on Skype. In case some of you may not know what I mean by our native language, that would be American Sign Language (ASL) as there are many of us Deaf and Hard of Hearing people’s first language is American Sign Language since that it is the language we started to learn when a tiny brain of ours starts to grow to a point that can understand the communication whether it be American Sign Language, English or any other languages that their parents prefer for their children. After spending a little more time of using Skype, for past years I was somewhat unsure of Skype because ever since I first owned a computer I always used Yahoo! Messenger and that is obviously different from what Skype is since Skype has much more features such as video calling, audio calling which that is something that is useless to me as I am hard of hearing and sharing the screen with other people. These features I mentioned is what are different from Yahoo Messengers, while as for…

Starkey Is The Enemy!

The other day I have stumbled upon some researches and watched some videos of a laboratories company named Starkey Hearing Foundation that have not just angered me but angered several individuals in the Deaf community. Starkey is a company that make hearing technology for any individuals that have a problem with hearing and Starkey have led several people to think that Starkey is the hero as it is what Starkey would want you to see them as but they are not really the hero that you thought. There are several articles or videos that have shown where there are public figures individuals such as some of United States of American former presidents like George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and our running for president Hillary Clinton gives the hearing aids to some of the people who are either Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Even the Starkey have said that their hearing technology is the treatment or the solution for anyone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing just upsets the Deaf community even more because it is misleading as there is several Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals have said that they limits their freedom more than they have. Why does it limit Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals freedom more? Because with these technology they cannot do some activities such…

Tidbits (2/8/2016).

Forgive me as I haven’t written a tidbits article in a very long time as it seems and the reason for that is because either that I have been very busy due to my hectic schedules or don’t have enough of topics for it to be a tidbits article. As some of you know that tidbits article has more than one topic which that tends to make it a long article for the readers to read and to my knowledge there are many readers here at JoshiesWorld.com likes tidbits because it involves more than just one topic which can get boring sometimes as tidbits article has more than one topic so that means something more to read for the readers. Every now and then I like reading long articles but that depends on what it’s about, if it’s tidbits article then that is the kind of long reading article that I like but if just one topic but a very long article to read can be boring sometimes unless the bloggers know how to keep the readers interested without allow the long article of only one topic to become boring. In case if you never have or don’t know what tidbits article are I suggest you to head over on at the top above here to look for a search…

Wish List For Achievements.

There are many of things that every one of us who would like to do something in our lives, to do something that we always would liked to or dreamed of having to achieved something that we can be credited for, a such example of achievements that we wish to do once we have reached our adulthood like buying a vehicle, house and a family which these three things are common in everybody’s wish list for achievements. Once you have achieved three essential things which are of course a vehicle, house and a family then that is where you can start dreaming of what you would like to do in your life such as maybe becoming business owner? Own a restaurant? Secure a job of your dream career? Becomes a humanitarian by giving the people who is less fortunate than you are? There are many of things that you can add to your wish list for achievements unless you have completed your wish list of achievements. The chance of completing the wish list for achievements varies as it depends on what you wish to do because some of them may be impossible to do such as becoming astronaut or similar because not many who can become a astronaut so it would be better if whatever it is that we have…

Deaf Created Internet.

Do any one of you remember what it was to experience the internet for the first time? Especially some of you who was born in the 80s like I did and the people who born in 80s or earlier was the ones who truly experienced the internet for the first time especially in the beginning stage and whoever born a few years later than the 90s will never truly have the same experience that many of us who was born before the birth of internet because anyone who born a few years later the birth of internet in the late 80s (1989 in March to be specific) would not have to go through that we had to go through at that time when the internet was born especially World Wide Web (WWW). How is it different you ask? Some of you may remember or not remember, when the internet was born at that time we had gone through the most difficult thing ever with the internet and that is trying to connect to the internet using dial-up connection via telephone landline cable and at that time not many of us had the patience for that kind of thing. To have the first experience in trying out the internet today is more pleasuring, would put you in amaze of how the…

National Association of the Deaf (NAD).

For several months I have begun to support an association or organization who represents Deaf and Hard of Hearing people nationally here in the united states until recently as I have realized something going with the association that sickens me especially to think that for few months I was supporting something that I thought who truly represents the Deaf community. That organization I am speaking of is National Association of the Deaf (NAD) who is an alliance of the Deaf community, who is responsible to advocate for the Deaf community when it comes to oppression, discrimination or any of unlawful actions by somebody and they are supposedly to be in the front of the battle making sure that the Deaf individuals have equality since National Association of the Deaf (NAD) founded in 1880 to take activism action in Milan against an organization named International Congress on the Education of the Deaf or ICED for short when International Congress on the Education of the Deaf (ICED) discouraged the use of American Sign Language in the education of the Deaf which is the natural language for the Deaf individuals. By discouraging the use of American Sign Language for the Deaf students by forcing the Deaf students in education to not use their natural language of American Sign Language, if they are caught…
