Someone has mailed me a few videos of Kappa Gamma fraternity, some personal and some public that has a few well-known Deaf people in it such as Nyle DiMarco. I have a video of two videos that I have put together; they said that it’s from their spring 2011 march and also their final 2011 march with Nyle DiMarco participating in the march as one of the members. The reason I am posting this video is that there is a fiasco with the Gallaudet University and their fraternity Kappa Gamma. Many people have put much of evidence, stories, complaints, and whatnot out there on the internet, so I felt that this video should also be put in there with them so that people can be aware of this. So those people who are outsiders can get an idea of what and how Kappa Gamma looks like at Gallaudet University. Recently Nyle DiMarco has dotted out his name for his comedy series show with Spectrum Originals channel owned by Charter Communications under David Dae Kim’s production company 3AD and Melrose Placed. It has me wondering if Charter Communications, David Dae Kim’s production company 3AD and Melrose Placed are even aware of what Nyle DiMarco did? Hello all! I know I haven’t written a snippets article in a great while, I apologize for that and the COVID-19 pretty much have taken over the news so that was more important to make sure that everyone keeps focusing on getting the information on coronavirus aka COVID-19. I hope that every one of you is doing well, I am doing well myself and luckily we have not been exposed to COVID-19 yet (knocks on the wood). So, the Thanksgiving passed us by, Christmas passed us by as well and now the New Year just passed us by. A lot of holidays in a very short period of time, not only that my mother’s birthday is just a few days after Christmas so it means a lot more presents for her and anyone who has a birthday close to Christmas I bet that they like that they were born so close to the Christmas! I was born in winter but not too soon after Christmas though, as my birthday is three months apart from Christmas so I was pretty much born in late winter as my birthday is in March and that isn’t all because I didn’t mention Valentine’s day! Companies thrive due to that because we always buy their products for somebody and then for ourselves in some cases. This is just a very small post for you all to read because this is more on a personal level than I normally write. For many years, I have been looking for pictures of myself when I was young, especially my accomplishments and whatnot. I do know that I was the first student to demonstrate a new computer with disc compact (CD) for Pike County schools in Kentucky; that is the newspaper that I am still in search of, but I have found an old VHS which I am working on figuring out how to transfer the VHS digitally. If so, I will show it around here or on social media. While we were going through old things such as pictures, VHS tapes, and whatnot, I finally found some newspapers with me in them. It was the talk of Pike County, Ky, because I was a student who happened to be Deaf student who was paving the way to get new computers for the students at my school when I was just five years old. It is that time of the year again, as we are at the beginning of September in the year 2019 and it is the month of International Deaf Awareness Month! Every year in September is a celebration for the deaf and hard of hearing community but at the same time, we also use that opportunity or a platform to raise awareness to the public so as to educate the public about the community. Educating the public about many things that are valued in the Deaf community, such as its culture and as well each sign language. As for me here in United States, American Sign Language is not the only sign language because every country have their own country such as British Sign Language (BSL), Mexican Sign Language (LSM), Australia Sign Language (Auslan), French Sign Language (LSF), South African Sign Language (SASL), Korean Sign Language (KSL) and others so you get the idea that most of the countries have their own sign languages including the one here in the United States of America which is American Sign Language but the United States is not the only one county that use American Sign Language since Canada also use American Sign Language as one of their primary sign language along with another one which is Quebec Sign Language (LSQ). Time for other snippets where I will share some opinions, some sort of reviews, sharing some little things about some things and as well talking about some stuff but in short as possible instead of a full-blown article on one subject. In case if you are new and don’t know what snippets article are all about, it is more than one topic in an article instead of only one article on one subject so that it can give you the readers something more to read in one place rather than going one by one for each topic that may interest you. I have been seeing a lot of Deaf people on social media starts to use a mix of American Sign Language and International Sign Language which can be very confusing for a lot of people including myself. What is more bothersome is that some copy the signs from International Sign Language with American Sign Language, telling people that they are American Sign Language when they aren’t even American Sign Language because they are signs from International Sign Language and uses them with American Sign Language can be very confusing for some. There are some people in a group calls “ASL That!” where they would learn some new signs for some words in American Sign Language obviously since the group are all about ASL aka American Sign Language and I have noticed that some Deaf people along with other people who know sign language (interpreters or codas) in the group or even outside the group would use the sign for people from International Sign Language thinking that it is the new sign or modernized sign for American Sign Language when they are not as they are being copied from International Sign Language. To my fear that I am starting to see a lot of people start using mixture of American Sign Language and International Sign Language for the norms which would…
