Free Guy

Two nights ago, I finally found the time to watch a movie titled Free Guy. Free Guy movie was released last year on August 13th, in 2021, so I have been putting it off because I have been very busy with other things such as running all of my businesses and barely could find the time for anything until I finally was in the mood to watch a movie, so I picked Free Guy to watch out of many unwatched new movies I have waiting for me to watch. Free Guy movie is an action, adventure, and comedy movie starring Ryan Reynolds as its leading actor with Jodie Comer, Taika Waititi, Lil Rel Howery, Joe Keery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Channing Tatum. With that being said, now that I have watched the movie Free Guy, I will do a movie review for you readers! It started pretty well, as the beginning of many movies usually does, and then gave us an idea of where the film would lead us to the end or let us know what the movie would be about. When I saw the beginning, I thought that any gamers who watch this movie would be excited and understand how it works, especially being starting over and over again – respawning. I believe that this movie pretty much portrays…

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

I brought the movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on the day it was released digitally, but I never got the chance to watch the film, so it has been on my movies list for a couple of years, waiting for me to watch. There are many opportunities to watch the film, but I often skip it because I wanted to find the great timing to watch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. After all, it is the end of the Skywalker saga Star Wars franchise. I purchased a good number of movies; I skipped Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and watched some of the others because, again, I wanted to find the good timing to watch it – mainly because I wanted to savor it a bit. Now that I have watched Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie, the ninth (9th) installment of the Star Wars franchise and the last one for the Skywalker saga. So, I will review Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker here. What do I think of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie? Not best. Not by a far shot. They should do a lot better, especially knowing that this installment is the last one for the saga Skywalker or the last era of what we know as Star Wars since…

1917

The other night, I decided to watch a movie that I brought about a couple of years ago but never got the chance to watch this movie because I am more into television series now. That movie that I finally got to watch the other night is titled 1917, an action/drama/war movie about world war 1, and that is the one that I am reviewing here now. 1917 movie was released on December 25, 2019, almost two years ago here in the United States, but there are other different release dates for this 1917 movie in other countries. Still, the date mentioned above is here in the United States of America. The theme of the movie 1917 is war, especially in world war one, and it focuses on two soldiers in British Army from the United Kingdom. One of the British soldiers was ordered to deliver a message from the unit’s leader to another unit’s leader to stop them from attacking the enemy, which is germans because these germans already had everything planned and expected that they would be attacking them, so these germans have all advantages as on the allied side wasn’t aware of. As soon as this unit’s leader found out about the enemy’s knowledge of their other unit’s preparing to attack them, the unit leader needed to…

IP Man 4: The Finale

This movie is a bit old by now, but not old to me though because I have had this movie ever since the day it came out, but I didn’t find the time to watch the film until the other night, which it was about the time that I give it a watch as it was overdue. Now that I watched the movie the other night, I decided to give myself a few days to ingest it somewhat and think it thorough because it was somewhat bittersweet. The film I am referring to that I watched the other night is IP Man 4: The Finale, and that is the movie that I am going to be reviewing here! Ah, bittersweet. I am a huge fan of the IP Man movie; some people don’t know that this movie is based on a real person, but the movie’s accuracy based on that person is questionable. That man named IP is a real person as the actual name that the film is based on is Ip Kai-man. Ip Man was born in Fatshan, Kwangtung, Qing China, and died in Mong Kok, Kowloon, British Hong Kong (notice British, it was because Hong Kong was under British’s control during IP Man’s time). Okay, onto the IP Man 4: The Finale movie. The number 4 is…

Joker

I brought the Joker movie more than a year ago, when the Joker movie was released for everyone to buy on October 4th in 2019. Still, I have not found the time or was not in the mood to watch the Joker movie produced by Warners Bros/DC Films directed under Todd Phillips, Bradley Cooper, and Emma Tillinger Koskoff. The casting in the Joker movie is none other than Joaquin Phoenix as the main actor for the Joker himself, and the supporting acting is none other than a very well-loved actor Robert De-Niro. Joker movie is two hours and two minutes long; it combines crime, drama, and thriller genres into one. The movie is rated R and was released October 4th in 2019 here in the United States of America, which I already mentioned above. As we all know, who Joker is, at least as a character from DC Comics. If you were a Batman fan who read Batman comic books since a child’s age, you know who exactly Joker is and what he does. If you don’t follow DC comics, especially Batman, and actually don’t follow movies made by DC Comics, then you wouldn’t know who Joker is, but you would still know who Batman is, thanks to its name is very popular everywhere. Joker is known as a supervillain…

Tomb Raider

This latest Tomb Raider movie released in 2018 is not the Tomb Raider that you would expect from Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle Of Life. Angelina Jolie was a perfect actress for the Lara Croft role, she did it very well, and Alicia Vikander also did the Lara Croft well in the latest Tomb Raider movie. I look at this Tomb Raider movie as a reboot movie because if you watched the other Tomb Raider movies starring Angelina Jolie, then you watch this movie Tomb Raider, and you will immediately realize that it is so similar but in different ways. Before I start writing my review, please be aware that this review will have some spoilers, so if you have not watched the movie, look away. As I said earlier, both movies, which I am referring to the Lara Croft movies and this latest Tomb Raider movie, are similar but different. From the beginning of the Tomb Raider movie, you will see Lara Croft is going through her father’s loss after discovering that her father has left her an inheritance. One of them is Croft’s Manor, where all of the things that her father has stored from his adventures as he is known for looking for mystery things. So, in Croft’s manor, it…

Midway

The other night I have decided to go ahead and watch a movie called Midway. I have been putting it aside for about a couple of years because I wanted to watch the rest of the movies that I had purchased that I believed would be mediocre or less and that Midway would be one of other few movies that I felt would be the better movies to watch, so I was saving the better movies last. I have caught up on several movies that I initially thought would be mediocre, although some of them surprised me. I started catching up on these movies that I believed to be better movies, so last weekend, Midway moved up to my next to watch. Last weekend I decided to watch the Midway movie; if you don’t know what the name midway is, it is an island under one of the United States territories. The island’s real name is Midway Atoll which is close to the state of Hawaii, and after world war two, that island has become well-known for one of the locations that the United States used during their battle of midway. I was almost excited to watch the Midway movie because their trailer was impressive. If you have not watched Midway and do not want to know the spoilers, then…

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

I must confess that I was way late with this movie because I was so busy and more interested in watching many television shows than to watch a movie or any movies. On occasion, I would watch a movie, mostly when I felt that I have watched too many television shows for too long or that I want to make a few more interesting television shows to last so that I could have something to watch and be closer to the time for them to release another season. Two nights ago, I decided to watch a movie as I was in the mood for watching a movie instead of a television show. I have many movies that I have brought that I have not seen yet, especially the new movies that came out in 2019-2020, and Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) was one of them. Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is one of a few movies produced by DC Films under Warner Bros, released on February 7, 2020. DC Films is a production company that creates DC comics movies, and Harley Quinn is one along with other “birds” characters of DC comics. In case you don’t know DC comics well, Harley Quinn character is known for being Joker’s…
