Mix 11-26-2025

Hey there, everybody! I hope that all of you are doing well and keeping warm, since we are heading into winter, cold weather, depending on where you are from. Speaking of where you are from, I would love to hear where you are from (do not give the exact location, but a region, or at least a hundred or so miles away), and how the weather is over there in the comment. Some of you already know that I am from the eastern part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, near the border with West Virginia in the Appalachian Mountains. The weather here in winter often surprises us; one day it feels like summer, and the next it’s freezing with snow. For instance, a perfect example of a weather surprise is the flood a day after Valentine’s Day this year, 2025, which has become the second-largest flood since 1977. The great flood of 1977 submerged most of our cities, and that happened again almost 50 years later on February 15th, 2025. It was unbelievable to witness, because where I reside, by a river, the river became pretty much a lake, with my house becoming an oceanfront. I, along with my mother, was very fortunate that my house is on a side of the mountain, but unfortunately, all of the houses below…

The toxic in the National Association of the Deaf, and it’s time to cleanse them

The National Association of the Deaf has met one of the wishes of the Deaf community: to terminate or resign the National Association of the Deaf’s president, Lisa Rose. After many days of refusing to resign, and finding every ways to block the board members of the National Association of the Deaf from calling a special meeting to have President Lisa Rose terminated by making sure that the secretary and treasury positions vacated so that the meeting cannot proceed finally submitted her resignation which was then obviously accepted by the board members at an important conference (national leadership training conference) in Austin, Texas, that was cancelled by the interim CEO which that resulted in angering many Deaf people especially the ones who already have brought airflight ticket, booked hotel room, and whatnot which most of them couldn’t get a refund since many of them couldn’t afford the flight ticket’s insurance. By having the option to get a refund from the airline for a reason like this, you would need to add insurance to your flight ticket, and that would incur extra fees. Think of it like an airline warranty. Many Deaf members of the National Association of the Deaf have decided to take matters into their own hands by proceeding with the conference under a different name, the Deaf Collab…

Happy Juneteenth Day

Happy Juneteenth National Independence Day, one of the most important days in the history of the United States of America. If you wonder what Juneteenth is about, it’s a day on June 19, 1865, when freedom began for the Black community as the United States of America ended slavery. Even though President Abraham Lincoln ordered the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863 to end the slavery of African-Americans, not everyone agreed with that or did not get the order until later due to slow delivery and on that day June 19th, 1865, the United States Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in the state of Texas at the end of American civil war. On June 19, 1865, the black community was freed in every state. Even though slavery ended, there were some people, including some politicians, who tried to find every way to restrict their freedoms, such as Jim Crow laws, which segregated colored people from having the same access to things that white people had. Such as segregation in education, public services, businesses, restaurants, and others. Although it was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson with the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, it had initially passed through the United States House and the United States Senate with bipartisan…

Nyle DiMarco And The Racist Fraternity Kappa Gamma

Someone has mailed me a few videos of Kappa Gamma fraternity, some personal and some public, that have a few well-known Deaf people in them, such as Nyle DiMarco. I have a video of two videos I have put together; they said that it’s from their spring 2011 march and their final 2011 march, with Nyle DiMarco participating as one of the members. I am posting this video because of a fiasco with Gallaudet University and its fraternity Kappa Gamma. Many people have put much evidence, stories, complaints, and whatnot out there on the internet, so this video should also be put in there with them so that people can be aware of this. So those people who are outsiders can get an idea of what Kappa Gamma looks like at Gallaudet University. Recently, Nyle DiMarco has dotted out his name for his comedy series show with the Spectrum Originals channel, owned by Charter Communications, under David Dae Kim’s production company 3AD and Melrose Place. I wonder if Charter Communications, David Dae Kim’s production company 3AD, and Melrose Place are even aware of what Nyle DiMarco did? Are they aware that Nyle DiMarco is a member of one of the most racist fraternities of any university, and even more, this fraternity happens to be one of Gallaudet University’s fraternities? What…

Black History Month 2019

As you all know, my skin is white so obviously I am white and I do acknowledge that I have that privilege whether I want it or not as it’s a given based on my ethnicity so the only as far I can do is to say that I do also recognize that the United States and many of other countries have a huge problem with racism even to this day. The black people suffers oppression everyday by the very same color that I have on my skin which is something that I am very ashamed of, even though I do everything I can do to support black people through activism and to pass their voices on around in hope that I can or at least hope that we can bring more awareness of what is going on in this world on racism issues. I have thought over and over about if I should or should not write a blog post about the black history month because it never will be my place to do so as I am white but at the same time I feel that I would also be bothered not to do so as I want to echo that for the ones who oppress black people are the lowest of the low in the eyes of…
