As you all know, my skin is white so obviously I am white and I do acknowledge that I have that privilege whether I want it or not as it’s a given based on my ethnicity so the only as far I can do is to say that I do also recognize that the United States and many of other countries have a huge problem with racism even to this day. The black people suffers oppression everyday by the very same color that I have on my skin which is something that I am very ashamed of, even though I do everything I can do to support black people through activism and to pass their voices on around in hope that I can or at least hope that we can bring more awareness of what is going on in this world on racism issues. I would like to remind many of you with a disclaimer for this that this is my view, my thought and my perception of what I see out of the people’s perception on the Deaf people because every Deaf and Hard of Hearing have different experiences, therefore, they can share what it is to be under the microscope of the people who we labeled “hearies”. How are every one of you guys and women have done lately? I hope that all of you are doing well, I am doing well myself but lately I have been somewhat more tired than I usually have been in few months because I think it is where I am on a time restrain which is one of few things that I don’t like about the time but like I have said before that the time are part of our life since our birth and will be part of our death as in from time of birth to time of death. So, imagine a few centuries ago where there was no time for the people, time have become part of our life when the technology advanced and invented a clock. Who do we thank for the time? To my understanding, in this case not many of the people know this but the time were invented mainly for the railroads company because they need a way of knowing when to depart and to arrive at certain places so that’s how the different time zones invented such as EST, PST or whatever is because of the trains. This world is, undoubtedly a cruel world for all of us to be living in and who is to blame for making this world a cruel place to be in? There are a lot of the people who happens to be cruel, making the world cruel for us to live in and by making the world cruel for us is where some of the people gets to discriminate us regardless what we have. There are several people who happens to be “ism” is the ones who make the world cruel for us to live in, there are several words with “ism” such as sexism, audism, racism, elitism, ableism and hundreds more. What makes them that way? They are either influenced by their generations who happens to be one of these ism or being influenced by the peers that they were surrounded at their youth age and grew to be expert at being one or more of ism. It make you sometimes wondering what if there were no isms, wouldn’t it make any difference in how some of the people behave in this world and possibly make the world a better place for us without being feared of having to be victimized by one or more isms? Seriously most of you guys got it made easy, most of you have privileges whether it be from your generations, your backgrounds and the record that you have done all of your lives. Now as for Deaf or Hard of Hearing people and you both have same privileges that you use at your advantage of getting something such as a job, Deaf or Hard of Hearing will have to double the efforts trying to be hired by somebody or at somewhere while the hearing person doesn’t; It’s almost guaranteed that the hearing person would be hired in a heartbeat while the Deaf or Hard of Hearing people wouldn’t even get a chance for an interview. That’s how the society is, if the hearing person has one associate degree while the Deaf or Hard of Hearing have two PhD, three masters, two bachelor degrees, the company or someone would immediately hire the one with an associate degree over the person who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing that has several degrees including PhD, Bachelor and masters they still would prefer to hire that one hearing person who have associate degree while not bothering to give the person who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing with very higher education along with rich knowledge or skills in a position that they were looking…
The other day I decided to tune in a news channel on my television to see the latest current events and to see if there is anything new going on in politics especially the United States or the world too. Almost all the news that I caught on the television the other day isn’t so new to me especially with the debates going on for the presidential candidates which is something that I am rarely interested of and then finally there was news that caught my attention after being annoyingly patient watching almost an hour of the news because sometimes I don’t want to miss anything out as I realizes that sometimes when I started watching some news in the beginning that there weren’t anything interesting enough for me to the point that I changed the channel unknowingly that there would be some interesting news on the way within’ few minutes after watching the beginning of the news on television. The news that caught my attention was that the University of Missouri got the students protesting against the University of Missouri because they have radical problems going on around at the University of Missouri campus with their administration especially the systems president Tim Wolfe I believe where the students are saying that there have been some racist incidents going on…
Hello everyone! I hope that every one of you had awesome time with the fourth of the July or Independence Day whichever one that some of you prefer to call it, on a such holiday like this everyone usually celebrate it by grilling out some awesome foods such as steak, hamburger, hotdog, chilli, corn and among of others with their family or the friends to eat with to celebrate the fourth of July or Independence Day. I enjoyed it myself a bit as we had grilled some hamburgers, hotdogs and bacon wrapped hotdogs for our fourth of July dinner which it was fantastic especially the hotdog wrapped with bacon because I have never ate them before in my life which is a bit surprising to me but now since that I have tried them I think I am going to want some of them more often every time we do some grilling outside. For the hotdog wrapped with the bacon being cooked on the grill I told my mother that it tastes like the hotdog with a bit more crispy and have a bit more of smoke flavor to it than just the hotdog itself especially that we grill our foods with the charcoal lately ever since we bought the charcoal grill because we were somewhat tired of grilling some…
