Pokemon Festival in Williamson, Wv.

There is news by none other than Williamson Daily News have announced that the city of Williamson with the approval of the Mayor Calton will be throwing a festival on August, 20th Saturday from 6PM to 10:30PM calling it “Williamson Poke Fest 2016” for everyone who loves playing Pokemon Go game app on iOS or Android devices and that in the city of Williamson will be themed with Pokemon. Tonya Webb brought up the proposal with the idea of Pokemon theme to the mayor of the city Williamson in West Virginia along with the convention and Visitors Bureau so they then came up with the name for the festival calling it “Williamson Poke Fest 2016” which is a good slogan. Everybody is on board with that idea including the resides of Williamson, Wv along with the officials to have Williamson Poke Fest 2016 in Williamson town themed none other than Pokemon because since the launch of Pokemon Go game app several people have come to Williamson town daily just to play Pokemon Go because there is five designated PokeStops where anyone goes to get free items for every five minutes such as Pokemon balls, eggs and more. As for the festival, there will not only be just the people playing the Pokemon Go app to hunt some awesome Pokemon as there will be DJ that plays music for the people to dance and among others including the colored chalk on the sidewalks or streets for the children or adults to draw their favorite Pokemon as they say.

So basically it’s a community party, a creative idea one at that and since the launch of Pokemon Go app several people comes from other counties in West Virginia to Williamson which is in Mingo County just for these five designated pokestops to get free items. In a way the Pokemon Go app helps the businesses in Williamson town booming.

Williamson Poke (pokemon) Fest 2016

That exactly is why there is Williamson Poke Fest 2016 on August 20th, on Saturday from 6PM to 10:30PM so in a way that allows the community along with the people from other counties in the state of West Virginia to gather to play the Pokemon Go app hunting some Pokemon or visiting the Pokestops and or these two Gyms that they have in Williamson town. They are saying that it’s a win-win for the locals, outsiders and the businesses of Williamson so in a way they are saying thanks by throwing the Pokemon themed festival party with a few of games including the Pokemon cards in the tents that they are setting up while dancing to the music in the heart of Williamson on streets. The entry is free for the ages of five or up and adults, did I mention that there will be a few games including the classic Pokemon cards? Fantastic idea. I am on board with that idea as well, maybe I will check it out as I only live exactly two miles away from it as I live on the border between Kentucky and West Virginia, on that border is Williamson in West Virginia and Belfry in Kentucky; I am on Kentucky side. Nonetheless I encourage all of you to mark it on your calendar for the Williamson Poke Fest 2016 so that all of you can get your dances on, hunt some Pokemon on the Pokemon Go app, play some games that they sets out including the Pokemon cards inside the tents as they say and shop to give your thanks to the Williamson for doing this!

The mayor along with the officials of the Williamson are encouraged to decorate their businesses with Pokemon themed and give out some items or whatever that they feel like doing with Pokemon such as maybe, they will order some Pokemon toys to sell at their stores or set up some menus with the theme of Pokemon at the restaurants in Williamson, West Virginia. I repeat, mark your calendar and the date is August 20th on Saturday from 6PM to 10:30PM for any ages from five (5) or up. I think this is a great opportunity for a family to do this together, a family night out with the Pokemon!

Pokemon's Pikachu

P.S. Pikachu is paying a visit, no I am seriously. Pikachu is paying a visit, to socialize with all of you guys and will take some pictures with your family so that you can remember the night for the first Williamson Poke Fest 2016! I mean who doesn’t want to have a picture taken with Pikachu?! Pikachu is da bomb, seriously. I hope that all of you will have a great time at Williamson Poke Fest 2016 on August 20th, on Saturday from 6PM to 10:30PM and maybe I will see you there. Want a picture taken with one of the well-known blogger, Joshie of the JoshiesWorld? It costs $100. No I am kidding, no seriously I kid and I’d be more than happy to have a take picture with you awesome guys if you visits! Keep up with me on social media to see if I will be going or not because it is all depends on the weather, my busy schedules and if there aren’t any obstacles in my way of going.

Here is the article by Williamson Daily News announcing Williamson Poke Fest 2016. By the way, you would see Williamson Daily News paper saying it’s from 6PM to 9PM which is the original time but then they have updated it and said they have extended it from 9PM to 10:30PM so that’s an hour and half longer partying for you!

Let me know if you are planning on to go to the Williamson Poke Fest 2016 on August 20th, on Saturday from 6PM until 10:30PM in the comments section or let me know on other social media like Twitter or my JoshiesWorld Facebook page (links to social media page at the end of the article) so that way I can know who I will look out for if I am able to make it there to hang out with you all and search some rare Pokemon hoping that we will end up catching Pikachu which is my all-time favorite Pokemon! Darn Pokemon Go for making it so difficult finding Pikachu and it’s no wonder that he’s so hard to find because the company who creates Pokemon Go knows that Pikachu is what everyone wants so making Pikachu a bit harder to find so to keep everyone playing Pokemon Go which is actually a brilliant marketing idea by them! Hope to see you all if I make it!
