President Donald J. Trump Removed Accessibility

Not too long ago, President Donald J. Trump removed the accessibility from the white house’s website, which President Donald J. Trump’s administration manages. Doing this caused many Deaf people and as well disabled people, such as people who are blind, to feel oppressed by their own President, which in this case is President Donald J. Trump. Not only has President Trump removed the accessibility from his white house’s website, but there is something big amiss that many of us have noticed, especially those who are in the Deaf community and that is not getting any information of any kind from President Trump or his press secretary with American Sign Language interpreter which is unacceptable. When it comes to Donald Trump, this didn’t happen the first time because it happened during his first term as the United States President until we, along with the National Association of the Deaf, filed a lawsuit against President Trump’s administration for not providing us Deaf people the accessibility to any information that President Trump, his team, his press, and his administration delivers. This is a repeat, as it’s happening in his second term. Any time that President Trump’s administration shares information of any kind, they mustn’t be only accessible to hearing people with audio but also that they are accessible to Deaf people with American…

American Sign Language Interpreters With A Conflict Of Interests

There are a few of trending in the Deaf community, one of them is about a problem that is going on around in the Deaf community about American Sign Language interpreters with conflict of interests, and by American Sign Language interpreters conflict of interests, I mean the American Sign Language interpreters who are already biased due to conflict of interests but went ahead to accept the interpreting job. Biased American Sign Language interpreters are often in violation of the code of ethics, especially through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). If you visit the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) code of ethics page, before getting to the full versions of their code of ethics, you would see one of their tenets number three (3) it says that interpreters conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the specific interpreter situation and also under seven (7) it says interpreters engage in professional development. But further, it would be 3.7, which it says disclose to parties involved any actual or perceived conflicts of interest. Suppose that American Sign Language interpreter happens to have a conflict of interests. In that case, these are examples of codes of ethics that they violate. Still, it is not the only code of ethics required to follow as there are others, whether it be…

So, the Thanksgiving passed us by, Christmas passed us by as well and now the New Year just passed us by. A lot of holidays in a very short period of time, not only that my mother’s birthday is just a few days after Christmas so it means a lot more presents for her and anyone who has a birthday close to Christmas I bet that they like that they were born so close to the Christmas! I was born in winter but not too soon after Christmas though, as my birthday is three months apart from Christmas so I was pretty much born in late winter as my birthday is in March and that isn’t all because I didn’t mention Valentine’s day! Companies thrive due to that because we always buy their products for somebody and then for ourselves in some cases. I hope that all of you had a great holidays, I know I had a good holidays myself although the age of my bones are getting the best of me every day and while I did had a good holidays I am still a bit disappointed over the fact that we didn’t see a lot of white winters which I mean snow. We didn’t have snow on Christmas, in fact, it was close to 70s on Christmas…
