Hey there, everybody! I hope that all of you are doing well and keeping warm, since we are heading into winter, cold weather, depending on where you are from. Speaking of where you are from, I would love to hear where you are from (do not give the exact location, but a region, or at least a hundred or so miles away), and how the weather is over there in the comment. Some of you already know that I am from the eastern part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, near the border with West Virginia in the Appalachian Mountains. The weather here in winter often surprises us; one day it feels like summer, and the next it’s freezing with snow. For instance, a perfect example of a weather surprise is the flood a day after Valentine’s Day this year, 2025, which has become the second-largest flood since 1977. The great flood of 1977 submerged most of our cities, and that happened again almost 50 years later on February 15th, 2025. It was unbelievable to witness, because where I reside, by a river, the river became pretty much a lake, with my house becoming an oceanfront. I have been doing research through many different sources about advancing technology in the United States, a pattern that I am seeing is that they are talking about getting ahead in production in manufacturing companies and others more than ever compared to humans. That technology I am referring is, something that I am sure some may just rolls their eyes or some may scoff over this but the difference is that a few years ago it may be something that is the least of our worries when it comes to finding a job in today’s economy but I don’t think that many of us realize that they are advancing faster than we expected them to be. Made me realize something, the corporations and business are doing everything that they can do is to maximize their profits. They have set their crosshair right on the profits, everything else does not matter to them and they will do everything they can to maximize their profits even if it means cutting the costs or fire their employees as they found the tiniest mistake made by an employee because they don’t just pay their employees a wage but also pay for their health insurance, parental leaves, workers compensation, retirement and others which they don’t like doing because they want that money.
