12-24-2016 Short Tidbits

Hey! How are you all doing? I hope that all of you are doing very well, I am doing alright here although I am in a bit pain or truthfully somewhat a lot in pain with my elbow but I am doing fine overall and I am a bit tired. For past, few months, especially when we start getting colder weather as we head in winter it seems that it increases my pain and that does it every year. I guess it is due to my age as I am about to be three decades or thirty years old in just three months or more so less than three months since I was born in March 18th and we have passed the 18th of December so it makes it less than three months. That isn’t something for me to be excited about, if this was 1950s or earlier the age of thirty would be considered mid age but now since that we have advanced in technology and science here in the United States the mid age have become forty-five to sixty-five (Google it) so that is somewhat a relief for me but I feels as if I am turning eighty years old though. My bones aren’t as stubborn as it was when I was teenager, obviously the older I become…

Pike County, Ky is NOT Deaf Friendly

For the Deaf community, we are starting to see some of the places all over here in the United States who finally been educated and is aware of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people to the point that they started renovating counties or cities themselves to make sure that they are accessible for everybody equally regardless their backgrounds. For several decades, by now almost everywhere in the United States is now accessible for the people who is wheelchair-bound and for the people who is senior citizens but never make the places to be accessible for the people who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Even though Deaf community have been around here for centuries, yet the officials in the counties or cities were aware of the people who is in wheelchair-bounds and senior citizens so they added a section in the Americans with Disabilities Act law that most of the buildings whether it be business, private, public or residential must build an accessible for the people who is in wheelchairs by building ramps along with making it easier for senior citizens to get access to the buildings without having to climb up the stairs. A few decades ago a lot of people looks at them as a disability, respects them and look at them almost equally although I am…

Tidbits 8-17-16

There are a few of topics that I would like to discuss about with you today, as some of you know that I write tidbits article here now and then so you should know that sometimes that a tidbits article can get long because where the definition for tidbit means that it is a bit of anything. So it will be more than just one topic instead of one topic, I think that sometimes it is better writing about a few of topics instead of just one topic because it can get a bit boring and not only that I am somewhat talkative so obviously it’s fitting for me as I don’t like writing or talking about just one topic or one of something. If you ever think of a word for something that you would like to discuss or share your opinions about few or several topics than just one topic then now you know that there is a word and that is tidbits. Tidbit is in the dictionary so you can easily find the definition for the word “Tidbit” on some search engines like Google, Bing or Yahoo and tidbits are more interesting to read than just reading one topic because some of the people likes to read about a few of topics than just one thing so…

Pokemon Festival in Williamson, Wv.

There is news by none other than Williamson Daily News have announced that the city of Williamson with the approval of the Mayor Calton will be throwing a festival on August, 20th Saturday from 6PM to 10:30PM calling it “Williamson Poke Fest 2016” for everyone who loves playing Pokemon Go game app on iOS or Android devices and that in the city of Williamson will be themed with Pokemon. Tonya Webb brought up the proposal with the idea of Pokemon theme to the mayor of the city Williamson in West Virginia along with the convention and Visitors Bureau so they then came up with the name for the festival calling it “Williamson Poke Fest 2016” which is a good slogan. Everybody is on board with that idea including the resides of Williamson, Wv along with the officials to have Williamson Poke Fest 2016 in Williamson town themed none other than Pokemon because since the launch of Pokemon Go game app several people have come to Williamson town daily just to play Pokemon Go because there is five designated PokeStops where anyone goes to get free items for every five minutes such as Pokemon balls, eggs and more. As for the festival, there will not only be just the people playing the Pokemon Go app to hunt some awesome Pokemon as…

US Army Helicopter Harvested Marijuana

Two days ago on Thursday my mother were swimming in her new swimming pool with a deck that my step father and his father built out back the house as the heatwaves hits here which the weather service have warned us that we would have a 5-days heatwaves. The weather service were somewhat correct as today is the third day of the 5-days heatwaves, two days ago were very hot but today is hotter as the weather said that it’s a record-setting in temperature today since the year of 2013 as the temperature for today is 97 so it’s bothersome hot but back to the subject, on Thursday two days ago when my mother were swimming and she immediately saw a militarized helicopters making a flyby over here as they did so multiply times so she texted me saying “action” with a picture of the militarized helicopter that she took with her iPhone 6S plus which I will post below. Saw that there were something hanging below the helicopter, she said that it was two men swinging with the rope below the helicopter so we assumed that it was either a rescue mission or a training mission and we both were wrong about that because it wasn’t even close to that. We were not the only ones who saw the…

Hatfield and McCoy Marathon ’16

June 11th of 2016 in the heated summer, there were one huge local event that everybody looks forward to and that is Hatfield and McCoy Marathon Run. They do Hatfield and McCoy Marathon Runs now and then, to my knowledge it’s once or twice annually as it is how many times I usually sees them but I could be wrong because I don’t know the entire schedules or the deal with Hatfield-McCoy Marathon. Hatfield and McCoy Marathon has always been one of the largest event in the heart of two counties which that is in Pike County of Kentucky and Mingo County of West Virginia. In Pike County, Ky they runs between Belfry to Blackberry and in Mingo County they runs in Williamson which is where the kickoff is and the finish lane is. Why these two counties with two different states you may ask? If you don’t know the history of Hatfield-McCoy feud then I am surprised because almost everybody know the history of them, nonetheless Hatfield-McCoy feud happens between the border of two counties, that is both in Pike County and Mingo County. Specifically between the Belfry in Pike County of Kentucky and Williamson in Mingo County of West Virginia, both of them is a border to two states each others. Now between that, there is a river…

BallFork Mountain.

Last weekend we have decided that we would go riding on four wheelers as I own ATVs or some just prefer to call them four wheelers but I like to call them ATV because when you say four wheelers, most of times the trucks comes to mind although ATV can be called four-wheeler as well so sometimes it’s a bit confusing when it comes to talking about four-wheeler because sometimes people would think it means truck and sometimes people would think it means ATV. So calling them ATV would be more straightforward in my opinion, hence they are classified that and what more it can be confusing too because some people calls the side by side ATV as well but they are classified as UTV which is what I also like to call them myself; UTV stands for Utility Terrain Vehicle and ATV is All-Terrain Vehicle. Nonetheless back to the subject, Ballfork Mountain which is a very beautiful mountain that I like going to as much as I can when I have the time or energy to do so and Ballfork Mountain is found in Blackberry, Kentucky which is here in the United States so if you ever decide to come visiting the United States for trail riding on either ATV or UTV/SXS I would highly recommend that Ballfork Mountain…
