1-21-2017 Tidbits

I wasn’t sure if I was in mood to blog tonight or not, honestly, I haven’t been in mood for much of anything anyway and I decided that since I have nothing else to do for about an hour and half so I decided that I will use that time to blog about something. I know ever since the new year or this year in 2017 seems that I starts to lagging on blog as I usually write an article for every two days for the entire year of last year 2016 and so far, this year I have moved from one article in every two days to one article every weekend and I would like to apologize for that but I have been busy lately with the things that’s going on around here. Nothing to do with my health though, thankful for that and by being busy I mean advocating for the Affordable Care Act. I am still is and have been a vocal in Affordable Care Act especially for the state of Kentucky because Kentucky is one of few states that rely on it more than anything as most of them are people with disabilities like myself, retired coal miners and veterans or children of a parents that cannot afford the care for their child so they rely on that to get some medical assistance for their child too. Being one of several activists in the SaveACA (Save Affordable Care Act) campaign on social media, email, physical letters and whatever else the technology allows to send out a message to the government about the importance in the Affordable Care Act. Not only that, few of the Affordable Care Act advocates including myself had got some backlash from some of the people who opposes it and wish to repeal it without realizing that it’s not just for the people with disabilities but also for many of other reasons which I have included above. People with disabilities, veterans who were injured in war, retired coal miners after getting injured from coal mines as Kentucky is one of two or three states that is the home of coal, senior citizens, care for the child due to their parents not being able to afford to have any medical assistance for their child and I could go on all night but these are the keys in how it is important to not repeal Affordable Care Act. If absolutely must to repeal Affordable Care Act then if it will include expansion in Medicare, Medicaid and whatnot then for the rest of others is up to the people but all we ask is that the parts of Medicare, Medicaid and whatnot stays or expand.

News Outlet Improperly Labeling Deaf

There are hundreds or thousands of news outlet including the big names of news companies, medium companies and unknown companies that everybody reads daily to gather some information about what is going on around in this country which is United States or internationally. There are some of the people who don’t follow or keep up with the news on the current events or news about what is happening locally, nationally and internationally. But there is several people who do keep up with the news including myself so that we could be informed with what is going on around in our country here in the United States or in other countries and there are a few services that allows some of us to personalize some news that we would like to get daily under our favorite sources such as Google News, Yahoo News, Bing News and some news apps like that news app in iOS 10 that allows you to personalize the way news you want them to come to you. My go-to for getting some information and news is Google News that allows me to only get most of the news from the sources/news outlet that I prefer and there are different news related that I personalized to get. For example, United States, Politics, World, Technology, Business, Social Media, Domain, Hosting, Deaf, Kentucky and West Virginia is my picks for news related. Not in particular order, nonetheless I saw an article that relates to Deaf news that had a video in that article and I decided to check the video out which of course it burst my bubbles as I am tired of some journalists, reporters, editors or bloggers labels Deaf people poorly whether it be intentional or unintentional.

Michael Hubbs Is Hypocrite.

Even though this blog aims for a broad of people in general, meaning that this weblog is not a Deaf niche blog as from the beginning to this day I write articles for the people regardless if they are or not Deaf or Hard of Hearing and any other kinds as I produces for the people regardless what their background is. That is and always have been my readers base for over eight (8) years as I write about everything so it’s not focused on just one niche or two as this blog is focuses on all kinds of niches or what I call it “all-in-one” niche. With that being said, I am going to start this article about a gentleman or should I say not-so-gentlemen in this case who goes by the name Michael Hubbs and he is somewhat a well-known person considering that he have decent numbers of fans base or followers because on his social media such as Twitter he has over 56 thousand followers which is somewhat surprising especially to me. Before I start writing the Deaf community’s perceptive of him along with my opinion too, Michael Hubbs is known as Deaf Speed Skater who have said that he will not allow any obstacles to get in his way of his dream to enter the 2018 Winter Olympics and he have entered the United States Olympics few years ago but failed to make it to the list to compete against others. I am not expert or even have much of knowledge in any kinds of olympics but I do understand how it goes, in United States Olympics or any olympics if you want to get in you must do some qualifying before you can get in it to compete against others and in that Michael Hubbs himself could not pass their qualification or in some sort of that progress to be qualified to enter the olympics so I hope this clarify a bit on what happens with Michael Hubbs.
