7-30-2017 Snippets

How are you all today or tonight?! I hope that all of you are doing well and I am doing well myself. I know it’s shocking that I decided to write another post for the blog in this short of time since I last wrote an article as lately I haven’t been that much of active in blogging world. I have tried to push myself back to where I can at least write two articles per week, but I can’t promise that I will because I don’t want to promise something that I might end up breaking and I don’t like breaking any promises if there were a promise made by me to somebody. Anyway, here I am with another snippet for you all to read and I probably will only do a short one tonight because I am not exactly in the mood to write an article for the blog. Really, I haven’t been in mood for anything lately and not only that I haven’t been feeling well myself for a week now. Summer is running out; this year is probably the shortest and quickest summer I have ever felt or seen because all the students and employees going back to school on August 7th which is in one week from now. But again, as I have said before, probably in a lot of articles that I am not really a fan of the heat and that I truly love the winter more than all the seasons. Because of the temperature? To some extent, yes but not only that, because I love the feeling of seeing the snows sticks to the ground here at home and it makes me feel homey. If we aren’t dangerously stuck here because it’d be bad if we were to be stuck and we need to get to the emergency room for something or when we have appointments for something. I guess, I don’t mind being snowed in as long as we still have the power, water and whatnot along with the road cleared only on these days that we must go somewhere such as our doctor appointments, to shop for grocery or to pay bills for something.

1-21-2017 Tidbits

I wasn’t sure if I was in mood to blog tonight or not, honestly, I haven’t been in mood for much of anything anyway and I decided that since I have nothing else to do for about an hour and half so I decided that I will use that time to blog about something. I know ever since the new year or this year in 2017 seems that I starts to lagging on blog as I usually write an article for every two days for the entire year of last year 2016 and so far, this year I have moved from one article in every two days to one article every weekend and I would like to apologize for that but I have been busy lately with the things that’s going on around here. Nothing to do with my health though, thankful for that and by being busy I mean advocating for the Affordable Care Act. I am still is and have been a vocal in Affordable Care Act especially for the state of Kentucky because Kentucky is one of few states that rely on it more than anything as most of them are people with disabilities like myself, retired coal miners and veterans or children of a parents that cannot afford the care for their child so they rely on that to get some medical assistance for their child too. Being one of several activists in the SaveACA (Save Affordable Care Act) campaign on social media, email, physical letters and whatever else the technology allows to send out a message to the government about the importance in the Affordable Care Act. Not only that, few of the Affordable Care Act advocates including myself had got some backlash from some of the people who opposes it and wish to repeal it without realizing that it’s not just for the people with disabilities but also for many of other reasons which I have included above. People with disabilities, veterans who were injured in war, retired coal miners after getting injured from coal mines as Kentucky is one of two or three states that is the home of coal, senior citizens, care for the child due to their parents not being able to afford to have any medical assistance for their child and I could go on all night but these are the keys in how it is important to not repeal Affordable Care Act. If absolutely must to repeal Affordable Care Act then if it will include expansion in Medicare, Medicaid and whatnot then for the rest of others is up to the people but all we ask is that the parts of Medicare, Medicaid and whatnot stays or expand.

Nyle DiMarco Exposed.

Nyle DiMarcoSome of you may know who Nyle DiMarco is but almost every one in the Deaf community knows who Nyle DiMarco is because Nyle DiMarco is a part of the Deaf Community and yes that means that Nyle DiMarco is Deaf or Hard of Hearing but in this case Nyle DiMarco is Deaf. But outside the Deaf community, millions of people knows Nyle DiMarco through a television shows calls the America’s Next Top Model (guys/girls) contestants who is in top eight (8) 0r ten (10) if I remember correctly in the cycle 22 on with Tyra Banks on CW channel every Friday if I am not mistaken but you can find more accurate information about America’s Next Top Model shows on the channel’s website CWTV.com and to get better idea who exactly Nyle DiMarco is you can find a small biography for Nyle DiMarco through Wikipedia or through one of search engines such as Google or Bing. For several weeks Nyle DiMarco have won where he is to be safe from several eliminations which is somewhat surprising but at same time it is not because Deaf people have the best ability of creating face expression or body expression which that is what takes huge part in modeling especially for photography and of course most of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing people in the Deaf community is rooting for him to be the next America’s Top Model while at same time he is letting these millions viewers all over the world to know that we as Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals can do it all except hear. A great exposure for the Deaf community which that is something that I am very proud of and take a pride in because I am one of them.
