Why I Blog

I see a lot of the people starts off with a trend of Why I _____ and I figured that I will do one for blog. People have already started a few trends of “Why I” such as “WhyIVlog”, “WhyISign” and others. To my knowledge, I may be wrong and if I am wrong then please correct me by leaving a comment below here so I can make a correction note on here. That the “Why I” was originally started by the Deaf community with #WhyISign where anyone who knows American Sign Language and breath in American Sign Language to make a short videos to share why they sign. You can find #WhyISign on Twitter and Facebook if you are interested in see some responses from the people who shares their reason to why they use American Sign Language. So I am going to do one for the blog and this is #WhyIBlog! Hope that all of you enjoy reading some of my reasons to why I blog and I encourage that all of you bloggers to do the same by making a post on your blog with the title “Why I Blog” then use the hashtag on social media #WhyIBlog so that all of bloggers can read some responses from the blogosphere via social media like Twitter or Facebook.…

Deaf Awareness Month: September

I know that lately I have written a few articles that is Deaf and Hard of Hearing related but the reason is the Deaf Awareness Month were to due in the month September which is the current month now. The purpose for Deaf Awareness Month in September is to educate the people about the culture of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, people who is audism are trying so hard to destroy for several decades now. Even though the Deaf community may be a little but it has a strength in holding their place when it comes to anyone that is trying all their best to make sure everybody is not aware that the Deaf and Hard of Hearing has their culture as they want to frame them with the label disability. As I am part in the Deaf community, the battles with audism daily is tiresome and frustrating because one of many reasons is that we never gave the permission to anybody to make any decision for us especially on state or nation’s level. So many of the people thinks that anyone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing means that there is something wrong with them, hence the label disability but what they don’t realize it is not disability when it is a culture and there is some…

Tidbits 8-17-16

There are a few of topics that I would like to discuss about with you today, as some of you know that I write tidbits article here now and then so you should know that sometimes that a tidbits article can get long because where the definition for tidbit means that it is a bit of anything. So it will be more than just one topic instead of one topic, I think that sometimes it is better writing about a few of topics instead of just one topic because it can get a bit boring and not only that I am somewhat talkative so obviously it’s fitting for me as I don’t like writing or talking about just one topic or one of something. If you ever think of a word for something that you would like to discuss or share your opinions about few or several topics than just one topic then now you know that there is a word and that is tidbits. Tidbit is in the dictionary so you can easily find the definition for the word “Tidbit” on some search engines like Google, Bing or Yahoo and tidbits are more interesting to read than just reading one topic because some of the people likes to read about a few of topics than just one thing so…

FaceBook’s Video Comment.

I am the one, I am sure there are many of others too who pressed Mark Zuckerberg to add video function to the comment for the FaceBook because before I started pressing Mark Zuckerberg the CEO of FaceBook it only has pictures function where you could upload pictures in the comment but not video and I decided to send a message to CEO of FaceBook Mark Zuckerberg that I suggest for him to add the video option along with the picture in the comment function because I have seen where several Deaf or Hard of Hearing people have complained about not being able to respond to anyone’s post with a vlog in American Sign Language so I suggested that Mark Zuckerberg to add the video function to the comment section instead of just only the photo function in the comment. This was not only one message as I have sent Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg on regular basis to remind him that he need to add video function to the comment because so that it would allow us Deaf community to be able to respond our family members or our friends wall post with vlog and that we can respond using our language American Sign Language instead of text comment. I also have explained FaceBook CEO Mark Zuckerberg saying that we…

AG Bell Is At It Again!

AG Bell in short for Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, generally in the eyes of public AG Bell is just short for Alexander Graham Bell himself who is known for being inventor as he have invented phone that everybody uses inside their household but its eyes of the Deaf community the name AG Bell itself is shortened for Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as both of these are practically same nonetheless. In the recent news, AG Bell have just detonated the ticking bomb not only in the Deaf community but also some professionals who is experts in the languages itself as there were a conference where AG Bell gave presentation by none other than the president of AG Bell, Meredith K. Sugar and in her presentation at a conference she declared that American Sign Language which is Deaf and Hard of Hearing’s native language is animal for any Deaf or Hard of Hearing child to learn. To be exact she declared that bilingualism is animal for any Deaf or Hard of Hearing child to learn, which referring to two languages in a package; American Sign Language and English is animal for anyone to learn. How does bilingualism works? When a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child born, that…

Michael Hubbs Is Hypocrite

Even though this blog aims for a broad of people in general, meaning that this weblog is not a Deaf niche blog as from the beginning to this day I write articles for the people regardless if they are or not Deaf or Hard of Hearing and any other kinds as I produce for the people regardless what their background is. That is and always has been my readers base for over eight (8) years as I write about everything so it’s not focused on just one niche or two as this blog is focused on all kinds of niches or what I call it “all-in-one” niche. With that being said, I am going to start this article about a gentleman or should I say not-so-gentlemen in this case who goes by the name Michael Hubbs and he is somewhat a well-known person considering that he has decent numbers of fans base or followers because on his social media such as Twitter he has over 56 thousand followers which are somewhat surprising, especially to me. Before I start writing the Deaf community’s perceptive of him along with my opinion too, Michael Hubbs is known as a Deaf Speed Skater who has said that he will not allow any obstacles to get in the way of his dream to enter the…

Burger King Tribute To Deaf Community!

One of fast foods chain somewhere over in the district of D.C. here in the United States decided to do something special, by doing something special which means they showed their appreciate to the Deaf community by temporarily changing the looks of the fast food restaurant itself and that is the Burger King. What did they do that shows their appreciation to the Deaf community? By changing the looks of the restaurant itself temporarily with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing’s native language American Sign Language (ASL). Although by on the social media, the Deaf community is saying that it is only for one day as there is some Deaf events that are going on down there in the district of D.C. and in my opinion I believe that Burger King should keep the way they are for at least a few days or more so a week if possible because then that would truly show that Burger King does appreciate their Deaf and Hard of Hearing customers who order their foods on regular basis. Even though it may be only for one day, they still shows that they are an alliance of the Deaf community and I am almost certain that no other fast food chain restaurants will follow the Burger King’s example by doing something similar to show…

Skype For Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

As of lately I have started to use the king of all video calling, instant messaging and group video calling calls Skype with a couple of my friends who happens to be Deaf which that means we communicate in our native language with each others on Skype. In case some of you may not know what I mean by our native language, that would be American Sign Language (ASL) as there are many of us Deaf and Hard of Hearing people’s first language is American Sign Language since that it is the language we started to learn when a tiny brain of ours starts to grow to a point that can understand the communication whether it be American Sign Language, English or any other languages that their parents prefer for their children. After spending a little more time of using Skype, for past years I was somewhat unsure of Skype because ever since I first owned a computer I always used Yahoo! Messenger and that is obviously different from what Skype is since Skype has much more features such as video calling, audio calling which that is something that is useless to me as I am hard of hearing and sharing the screen with other people. These features I mentioned is what are different from Yahoo Messengers, while as for…
