Threads are thriving, and Twitter/X is dying. This gave me a flashback, remembering what had happened to MySpace. MySpace was founded on August 1, 2003, by Thomas Anderson, who you know as MySpace Tom. MySpace was a giant and number one social media until Justin Timberlake and Specific Media LLC jointly acquired MySpace for about 35 million dollars. From there, it went downhill FAST; Facebook was founded on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg as Thefacebook, then a year later, in 2005, it was changed to simply Facebook, then stole the crown from MySpace as the largest social media a few years later. Now, Facebook as a social media is so large that no social media probably can ever take it from Facebook for a very long time – that’s if they ever do! I know I haven’t written a snippets article in a great while, I apologize for that and the COVID-19 pretty much have taken over the news so that was more important to make sure that everyone keeps focusing on getting the information on coronavirus aka COVID-19. I hope that every one of you is doing well, I am doing well myself and luckily we have not been exposed to COVID-19 yet (knocks on the wood). Another article this soon, I know! How are you all doing and are you enjoying your summer so far? As for me, I have stayed up a lot and sleeping a lot as well lately. I have not had the chance to enjoy the summer yet, because I have wanted to go four wheeling and I haven’t found the time to go four wheeling or haven’t found other people who has a time to go four wheeling with me as a group. You don’t want to go four wheeling alone, it is never a good idea to go riding a four-wheeler alone especially on some long trails in a large mountain because if for some reason your four-wheeler breaks down then you would truly be stuck and have hard time trying to get back to your vehicle where you park with your four-wheeler trailer. Only time I would go four wheeling is if I am to cruise down the street for a few minutes which is illegal to do so and ride some small hills. There is news by none other than Williamson Daily News have announced that the city of Williamson with the approval of the Mayor Calton will be throwing a festival on August, 20th Saturday from 6PM to 10:30PM calling it “Williamson Poke Fest 2016” for everyone who loves playing Pokemon Go game app on iOS or Android devices and that in the city of Williamson will be themed with Pokemon. Tonya Webb brought up the proposal with the idea of Pokemon theme to the mayor of the city Williamson in West Virginia along with the convention and Visitors Bureau so they then came up with the name for the festival calling it “Williamson Poke Fest 2016” which is a good slogan. I know some of you do and I sometimes do miss writing some tidbits article because they allows me to discuss or share my opinions on more than one topics and not just one topic alone which can be very boring on some days but nonetheless I have decided that I have kept all of you waiting for too long for a new tidbits article so here it is once again. Many of you or some of you know that Deaf individuals natural language would be American Sign Language, for short ASL which is a language that the people who is Deaf and Hard of Hearing use as their communication tool to communicate. Commonly Deaf people use American Sign Language to communicate with each others but they have attempted to communicate with the people who’s able or they call them “hearies” in American Sign Language and majorly they failed to understand that language because they never learned American Sign Language which mainstream schools is the one to blame for because most of them don’t offer American Sign Language as one of their languages class. Several mainstream or public schools are offering at least language for the students to take, mostly either Spanish or French but not American Sign Language and what they don’t realize is that American Sign Language is more used than French but as important as Spanish though since in United States there is no official languages but three most used languages would be English, Spanish and American Sign Language equally.
