Hey you all! This is Joshie writing here, there is nothing more than me wanting to tell you a very Merry Christmas and so Merry Christmas to you all! ‘Tis the season that every one of us cherish with our family and friends which is the most important thing about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Christmas isn’t the only thing that we celebrate with our family and friends, we also celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ! Nothing is more fun than the Christmas tradition that we carry through many generations of ours, opening Christmas presents and have vast amounts of foods for us to pick to put on our plates until our stomach cannot take them anymore! I can remember how excited I would get when the Christmas day arrives at age of a child, looking forward to celebrating Christmas with the family and open the presents besides the Christmas tree that we decorated while being surrounded my family. It was one of these moments that I treasure more than ever, as every Christmas I would visit my grandmother’s house on my mother’s side and seeing the grounds that was nothing but tons of snow. I would like to personally wish the most important person on this earth, my mother a very happy mother’s day and that I am very thankful for everything she has done for me past these thirty years since she has become a mother to an only child which is myself – a child that thinks the world of her and looks up to her since this child opened his eyes for the first time after birth.
My mom has never stops her persistence in taking care of me for over thirty years and two months to make sure that I have everything that I need especially the essentials. Such as the roof over me, air conditioning and heating to keep myself cool or warm during both summer and winter; clothes on my back and foods on the table for me to eat everyday. Taking me to my doctor appointments to make sure that I am taken care of, this includes having to take me to Cincinnati to a children hospital every 2-3 years until I become a teenager, never leaving the hospital every time that I had to be admitted such as when I had undergone one of the most major surgery I have had ever went through, my back from my neck to my tailbone and when I broke my femur in half in my right leg my mother drove me to the hospital herself because she wouldn’t want to waste another minute for the ambulance. I have never truly see any mothers that takes as this tremendous care and responsibility without any hesitation for a child as my mother do for me.
Hey guys and women! I see that a lot of the people starts getting back to their routines, back to work, some adults being sent back to the colleges and some children being sent back to schools which I am sure that some of the parents are a bit happy about that since with their children being sent back to school would give them a little relief or some room to breathe after trying to handle these wild children for a couple of the weeks due to Christmas break. My mother is a special aide at a middle school as she has been for more than a decade or two, she assists the children with some kinds of special needs and I think she has worked for so many years so I sometimes would ask her to retire so that I could have my mother at home without having to worry about if something was to happen to her there. For some reason, as the years goes by I starts getting more worried over her going to work because I believe that if she is to retire that she would have much less risks to her health and by retiring I believe that she will continue to be very healthy as she is now. If some of you women have decided to change your mind to vote for Donald Trump then I absolutely don’t blame you at all but if any of you women decides that you still are voting Donald Trump then I am somewhat disappointed in some of you. Even though I may be hugely advocate for Deaf community that doesn’t means that I also advocate for others such as causes, things, humans and some more including the women. If you think that just because I am a male myself that means I don’t care about the women rights or damaging the dignity of the women then you are very wrong about that because even though I may be a male but that does not stops me from caring about the women after all I have some women in my life that I care more than anything in the world. Whatever I sees anybody or anything that degrades woman, I don’t appreciate that because after all regardless if we are men or women we always birthed on this earth from what gender? Happy New Year of 2018!
It is unbelievable how quick last year was, I felt that it was one of the quickest year ever and that is in both good and bad way that the year of 2017 flew by us. I am sure that one of the good one is that it means the election is coming quicker than we expected so that we can vote for the people who we truly believe that would represent us instead of for the corporation and others especially to listen to what we want instead of what they want. Such as where most of us Americans begged the Federal Communications Commission to not repeal Net Neutrality because it is a policy that prevent the internet providers service to play monopoly with us by hiking the costs with no reason or to charge us just so that we could have access to something they blocked or slowed by throttling. One of the bad thing, I am certain that this is something every one of us can agree, our age made a leap to a year later too quick and all of us including myself who would love to stay at the current age and not becoming a year older already.
